Its hard to see how anything could be worse than Assad. But it could be. The new regime are makung all the right noises at this point and of coutse they should be given a chance to rebuild the country.
That includes the Israeli terror state getting out and maybe stop bombimg the country.

The ins and outs of that nation are enough to give anyone a headache, For eample the rebels are apparently aided by Turkey. They have 2 main motivations. One is to return the many thousands of Syrian refugees living in Turkey. The other is its ongoing war against the kurds.

But Syria needs the Kurds, and other minorities to rebuild the country. The russians and the Iranians will try and make nice with the new regime. Israels bombing is more likely to make that possible. Russia is desperate to keep its bases as well.

The EU, and the UK need a settled Syria. Not least so that the thousands of exiled Syrians can go home. Maybe some investment in rebuilding would be in order ?

I havent mentioned the US in all this. Biden has been bad enough but lord knows what trump would do. Is the US likely to continue its proxy bombing thru Issrael ?

Anyway I wish them well. The omens arent good. Most syrians have never lived in a free and peaceful country. I hope that they get that chance.

LOL yea I’m sure the Syrians will be “more free” under Al Qaeda.

After they are done executing and driving out the Christian population, there will be civil wars between all the different brands of Islamo-terrorists.

Libya all over again.

But hey, I’m sure you can book a vacation there now and you can tell me how wrong I am.

What regime?

Right now it's nothing.

I think they should be given an opportunity to be left alone if they are not stirring up trouble elsewhere.

Tommy you are naive on this matter, the new head Honcho in Damascus was deputy head of Al Qaeda to Zarqawi in Iraq he was deputy leader of ISIS in Syria that is who our Government along with the US and Turkey have been supporting, like we supported Islamist maniacs in Libya, it's all been about Regime change because Assad for all his faults and failings didn't bend to US and Israel, although there was a time when he collaborated with the US that prison in Damascus they are trying to make sound like Dachau was used by the Americans to extraordinay rendition people for interrogation, a CIA black site, the greater Israel project just moved up a gear expect more land grab and from the Turks, i believe Syria will cease to exist as a State, and i won't give those head choppers the benefit of the doubt i have seen too many atrocities over the years, remember the Manchester Arena bombing? that was blow back because we MI6 were collaborating with the head choppers, then they covered it up, now we have the Idiot head of MI6 warning ISIS could threaten the UK again, what an idiot he just made that more likely.

The neighboring countries should lend aid to fleeing Christians and if anything, the US should make it known that they need to get out now because we are not coming in to help you.

They were not under threat before Assad was overthrown.
