To refer to the ex-president's rigged election claims as false is "bias," said a sixth-grade assignment.

A jaw-dropping assignment in a Florida public school district is peddling Donald Trump’s lie that the presidential election he lost was rigged.

The assignment at R. Dan Nolan Middle School in Bradenton presented sixth-grade students with a fact: “President Trump made claims that the 2020 election was stolen.” But calling his claims false — which they are — would be an example of “bias” in the media, according to the lesson.

“The media is often biased and will add words that persuade you to think one way or another,” warned the assignment. The sentence stating that the former president made the election claims “is just giving you information,” it said, but calling the claims false “leads you to believe he is wrong before you have all the facts.”

The startling lesson was shared among school parents and ended up in the hands of Ron Filipkowski, a Sarasota attorney who quit a commission in Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration two years ago in protest over his policies and now tracks conservative movements on Twitter and in the media.

Sixth grade. Wow, that is unbelievable - for any grade! What do you think?

It's a wonder that the neoconservative, aka, faux conservative set reads this stuff and doesn't see the deceit. Of course, it's a wonder that these Trumpanzees can read.

Well yes, the media simply calls it “false” without providing any evidence. The media is supposed to be unbiased and present the facts. They can’t present any facts to prove no election laws were violated.

Damn, get over it. Trump's approval ratings were lower than Carters, and Carter was defeated in a landslide. The fact that Trump got the votes he did is more indicative of fraud than Biden winning.

For most of American history the political spectrum was maybe not on the same page, but we are not even in the same book. The ideas are different. And it is wide chasm. America is a huge nation. A loose federation of states aligned with those in kind may be better. This with a relationship with all states still in effect. In a way it is like that now, but the Repub states have different views on different issues to their disadvantage while the Prog states are in near lockstep with each other.

The Republican States vote in lockstep. Most of the voters vote by rote, i.e., not thinking and doing whatever the talking heads on AM Radio, Fox News and other far right TV and internet tabloids tell them what to do.

Before you respond, consider what you do when preparing to vote? Do you read TIME or The Economist? Do you watch TV on Fox news exclusively, or MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS or PBS? Or do you believe the BIG LIE propagated by the late Limbaugh that all of the MSM are posting Fake News?

Personally, I think this is an invaluable lesson to teach children, and the provided example in your OP is a good one...

Teaching children to think critically, and not just accept as fact, opinions which they read on the internet or hear from talking heads on television, is an extremely worthwhile activity.

This is where you end up when you raise kids who cannot think.....
