They will issue their decree here any day. We will be ordered to shelter in place but the little town east of us in the same county will not be. We can still go to the store and to work and go walk our dogs and drive around. Sounds like a bad Rodney Dangerfield joke. Lol, it's totally retarded and will not accomplish anything.

Are the zebras stripes white or black?

Governor Hogan hit Maryland with a so-called "stay-home" order yesterday at 8pm. Essentially, the government is ordering us to stay home but allowing us to still go out for just about any reason imaginable. Go figure. In this "not quite an apocalypse" nothing makes sense and everything is half-ass half-way.

You're right. We are congregating to spread the germs at the grocery store. But it is probably helping some.

It would help your post to know where you're talking about.

How so? No one can do anything about it?

Consider that we do not live in a dictatorship. If the Governor (or President) had absolute power, s/he would issue a REAL stay-at-home order, enforced by the police.

And if s/he did that, the pandemic would be gone fairly quickly. Does that mean that the Executive is "weak," or "cowardly," of "fiddling while Rome burns"? Of course not. They are balancing what should be done (which may be extreme) with how the people will react to an onerous decree from On High. If the extreme measure is decreed, there could be violent protests, then what would be accomplished?

All we can do is be as prudent as we can, and not risk ANYONE ELSE's safety because we are unwilling to go along with the Program.

Be a good little boy and do as you're told.

I don't think they are afraid of violent protests. I think they are trying to keep the economy limping along as best they can. And the other thing: If there was a real "lock down" for all, can you imagine what the grocery store would be like while everyone tried to stockpile MORE food? There isn't enough to go around that fast.

Could be wrong place, but is anyone watching Tiger King? Why couldn't they find anything on that beotch? What gave me the creeps was the way she felt up her next expensive convertible.

Been doing that awhile here. People have calmed alittle, but not much.

The governor of Va. issued a convoluted order where state parks will be closed except for "fishing and exercise" and citizens are ordered to stay in their homes until June 10th except for shopping and medical care or risk a 1st degree misdemeanor. It's purely political grandstanding from a (racist) do nothing governor.
