Archbishop Cordileone wants all Catholic high school educators to be classified as “ministers”.

“All is lost” if the ministerial definition is adopted in contract language, one (union) member said during the meeting. :eusa_boohoo:

Great idea! Now, if the Catholic hierarchy can do the same for ALL Catholic parochial schools at EVERY level – universities included. And it will perhaps spread to parochial schools of all faiths. Let's put the religion back in the purpose of those schools.

What happened to their original term "Priests"? The Vow of celibacy?

Is this more of the Vatican's attempt to achieve their agenda of "unfication"? To draw in the Protestants and unite them under the banner of the One World Church - Roman style - by using buzz words such as Minister and Pastor? (which is inaccurate for that institution)... I think the people of America had better wake up and fast!

Please explain your problem about this.

It appears the Archbishop is simply saying that those who teach in Catholic parochial schools should be designated as ministers.

What;s wrong with that?

I realize this is a waste of time responding to posters like you but what he is saying is simply that someone who educates students attending a parochial (religious-based) school is there to teach students in a manner according to the beliefs of the religious organization it represents.

Would you be similarly sarcastic is a senior Muslim official were to claim that all teachers of madras are imams and therefore not subject to unionization? (Oops! Excuse me. They are already exempt from unions.)
