Yet the conspiracy theory persists and has been repeated by Trump’s Republican allies on Fox News and in Congress. But it turns out Republicans have failed to mention one important thing: At least three GOP senators at the time also wanted that Ukrainian prosecutor fired.

CNN uncovered a letter dated February 12, 2016, in which Sens. Rob Portman (R-OH), Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Mark Kirk (R-IL), along with several Democratic senators, called for Ukraine’s then-president to “press ahead with urgent reforms to the Prosecutor General’s office and judiciary.” Four days later, Shokin resigned (although he didn’t officially leave until the following month when Ukraine’s Parliament voted him out).
This 2016 letter proves that GOP attacks on Biden over Ukraine are nonsense

But now tramp is going to be impeached for a conspiracy theory of his own making.

Yesterday on tv he called on China to investigate the Bidens like he called on Russia to release the Clintons emails. This time he will not get away with his lying mouth.

Whether they wanted him fired or not does not change that it is a violation of the law for a US official to bribe a foreign official. There is no way one can rationally say that what Biden did was legal and what what Trump did was illegal when Biden explicitly violated US law.

If only you posted something that was close to reality....

Biden withheld aid because of a corrupt prosecutor everyone agreed needed to go.

Trump tried to withhold aid to dig up dirt on Biden.

One is policy... the other is a crime.

You are correct. Biden violated the law. Trump did not.

Sorry, man, Biden was acting at the direction of his President and Congress.

Trump was acting in his own political interests...

And the nazi prison guards were acting at the direction of Hitler. That ship sailed a long time ago. A crime is a crime, but at least you acknowledge that Obama was part of the conspiracy to violate the law as well.

Where was it a crime to require a corrupt prosecutor be removed before aid was coming?

Here's the difference. When the ENTIRE west (not just Biden) demanded Shonkin's removal, they did it pretty much out in the open.

When Trump asked Zelevsky to dig up dirt for him, he did it in private, and then immediately tried to hide what he had done.

Riddle me this, Joe.

If Hunter Biden is alleged to have committed a crime in Ukraine, what's wrong with giving the young man a chance to clear his name? That's all that President Trump was trying to do here.

It is no political benefit to Trump whether the Bidens are sent to prison or not- Biden's cult members here in America think he can do no wrong and would still vote for him.

There is no personal benefit at all to the Trumpster.

The problem with your conclusion here Joe, is that Trump wasn't asking to dig up dirt on a political opponent, hell, Biden is not even the nominee...What Trump was doing is asking the leader of Ukraine to cooperate with a legitimate investigation of our DoJ...That is not only proper and his job, but is legal under the letter of the joint investigation treaty between both countries...What you are doing with the narrative can only be characterized as a straight up lie.

Did the three Republicans threaten to withhold 1 billion dollars in US aid if the prosecutor wasn't fired?

Trump did no such thing, but what Biden did was a crime.

Note the date, it was when Shokin was prosecutor. Biden was just do his job , getting rid of corruption and tramp tried to instill corruption, because Tramp is corrupt.

Biden is guilty as Sin.......

But so are a ton of career politicians ............Biden has been there for over 3 decades now...........and he probably has as much dirt on them as they have on him..........

If the establishment takes out Biden...............he will then throw them under a Greyhound bus as well........

Biden...............and the MAD principle............Mutually Assured Destruction........and why the establishment will not push the Biden's lawlessness.

How many Polocks does it take to make a lame excuse?

One, apparently.

This is so dumb I almost don't want to answer.

This wasn't about "Clearing" anything. This was about trying to get the Ukraine to announce an investigation to make Biden look bad. It was so clumsy it was laughable.

Oh, please. A legitimate investigation isn't done by sending Rudy the Bag Man in to shake people down.

This was a smear job.

You are exactly backward. A quid pro quo of 1 Billion dollars is the very definition of corruption. When you offer nothing but appreciation for help in a fight against corruption, you have, by definition, committed no crime.
