Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said on Thursday that he will no longer be wearing a mask at the Capitol since he is fully vaccinated.

The CDC's mask guidance says vaccinated people should still wear masks in public and could potentially spread an infection to others.⁠

Because being vaccinated is not a guarantee that you can't catch and spread the virus.

Because if the virus spreads enough it will mutate making vaccine less effective.

So by that logic we keep the mask on forever because less than one percent those that have been vaccinated and could get Covid (possibly, since there isn't even any data on this yet) with minor cold like symptoms could pass on a virus that either way seriously affects a small percent of the population (those with pre existing health conditions and the elderly, who have been vaccinated as well by now).
