we should abolish the Senate and let California (the House) run America!

WYHEO?

The article makes some great points about corporate influence corrupting Sinema, but given Jacobin's left-wing economics, they miss the mark on the minimum wage bill.

Raising the minimum wage nationally to $15 would kill a lot of small businesses in cheaper areas of the country. If Jacobin was more economically literate, they'd understand that.

The bill would have been more acceptable if the raise was $10 instead.

Why not just carpet bomb America with nukes if you hate it so much?

Maybe you are angry at Manchin and Sinema? Because they are all that stands between the democrats
one party rule (like the Nazis, Soviet Union, the CCP, etc.) and America as we've always known it?

What is it that you like so much about California? You have a fetish for dystopic incompetents running
things?

She is a Blue Dog democrat in a state that leans right.

A vote against a $15 minimum wage is a vote to keep people in poverty.

That was not a moderate vote.
That was not a conservative vote.
That “NO” vote in the Senate was an oppressive vote

Nonsense.
Giving poor people a higher salary just means that the things they buy will get more expensive.
If it costs 15 dollars an hour for a fruit picker, a lemon will soon cost you 1 dollar.
It's all relative.
You can earn 5 dollars an hour in some latin American country, but a lunch would cost you 2 dollars.

A standalone bill by D's should propose 12 bucks, and mandatory 18 for time over 40.
Regardless of geographical location??

Yes. I don't care if you're in Bumfuck Kansas - NOBODY can live on $7.25 an hour.

What you are proposing will lead to massive lay-offs.
The EU is quite similar to the US with each State and Nation have their own minimum wage.
If we said that people in Bulgaria should be paid the samed as Norway, then there wouldn't be a hotel, farm or restaurant left in Bulgaria.
