Received news today (December 7, 2009) that a deal with the five Blue Dogs and five liberal Democratic Senators are brokering a deal that people can get a public option equal to what all the Federal Employees already receive right at this time. How can the Republicans attack the health insurance granted to the Federal Employees? Look, the Republicans have controlled both the House and the Senate at the same time control the White House. So, how can the Republicans say when they were in power they were rationing health care, providing death committees for the Federal Employees?

...

In the end, it will come down to cost. The cost for this type of insurance will be in the ~$15,000/year range. If a family can afford this, great.

Sure, but you are not going to get a single Republican vote and your not going to get the 60 votes for a universal single player health care. Reason it cost that $15,000, as the insurance comapny needs to make a profit.

What I find is strange, that over two million Americans who are in prison and they receive universal health care without paying taxes They receive health care, dental and vision without paying a single cent for their own health care. Weird, the Republicans during the 1980's and the 1990's were the law and order party.

Strange, some inner city kid that did not have nickles to rub in his pants pockets that got arrested for a burglery gets free health care. A inner city kid that has a poor education, ends up dropping out of school, has a better chance to get health care then a educated child in a low crime area that also gives more resources of an ideal childhood.

The public plan will be subsidized by the taxpayers right? So a guy going without health insurance will get a Cadillac plan at the fraction of the cost? And a guy making the same with private insurance pays full price? Doesn't seem like something Rs would have trouble voting down
