Looks like Liz is calling-out the status quo corporate Dems of which there are more than a few. ALL the Repubs are pro-wall st types

Elizabeth Warren takes sides in Democratic feud - James Hohmann - POLITICO.com
A chorus of groups aligned with the liberal wing of the party – from the Progressive Change Campaign Committee to Howard Dean’s Democracy for America and Russ Feingold’s Progressives United – responded by attacking Third Way as a Wall Street-funded front group.

By lunch time, Warren jumped into the fray. Her Senate office blasted out a letter from the freshman firebrand senator to the CEOs of the country’s six largest financial institutions, prodding them to disclose money they provide to think tanks like Third Way.

Good on her :smiliehug: We have too many Dem'ds profiting by selling-out the people in favor of big biz so that they can get campaign contributions &/or future *cough* "jobs".

Elizabeth isn't afraid to point out the elephant (or jackass) in the room:

"Income inequality in the United States has grown significantly since the early 1970s,[1][2][3][4][5] after several decades of stability,[6][7] and has been the subject of study of many scholars and institutions. While inequality has risen among most developed countries, and especially English-speaking ones, it is highest in the United States..."

"In spite of this data, only 42% of Americans think inequality has increased in the past ten years.[15]

"In 2012, the gap between the richest 1 percent and the remaining 99 percent was the widest it's been since the 1920s.[16]

"Incomes of the wealthiest 1 percent rose nearly 20 percent, whereas the income of the remaining 99 percent rose 1 percent in comparison."

I was wondering when someone, who isn't fooled by the Left/Right paradigm would respond. :) Good post. ;)

As long as US voters continue "choosing" between Republican OR Democrat in the voting booth, the richest 1% of voters will continue winning at the expense of everyone else. I think Elizabeth sees this very clearly:

"It doesn't yet have the panache and organization of the Republican Party's internal split, but some liberal groups think that the divisions among the Democratic Party — its own 'civil war' — will embroil the party through the next two big election cycles in 2014 and 2016.

"The divisions have sprung up over a period of several months, dating back to New York City Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio's wildly successful run here and the 'Rise of the New New Left,' as The Daily Beast's Peter Beinart put it in September.

As I recall Dot Com and other liberals all blast the Republicans for calling out supposed republicans not acting accordingly. So now it is ok for you to attack fellow dems but bad if Republicans attack fellow republicans? I got that right?

IMHO, you're not exactly right in the sense you might be confusing an attack on the political messengers in both parties with an attack on the ideas that prop up both wings of the US Corporate Party.

Elizabeth Warren seems to be attacking the ideas that sustain the power elite backing both elected Republicans and Democrats. Should millions of Tea Party types add their voices to hers, the richest 1% of Americans will face a problem they haven't seen since Tom Paine died.

She is turning out to be so good. :)

I hope they don't sell-out like virtually everyone else.

Repubs has SOCONs which is one of the big diffs

Funny how a woman who with her husband are in the top one percent rail about others being in the top one percent.

If she really hates it that some people make a lot of money then she should lead by example and write a check to the treasury every year so that her income puts her at the average.

No maybe she has studied the times when we had populists as loud voices for the regular folks. And decided that she would follow that same course. It has happened before. Where the ultra rich stood up for the working man. Think Henry Ford. Hearst. Roosevelt.

I would vote for this woman as President. Much better candidate than Hillary.

Liz who lied about her heritage to get ahead is railing against people who have succeeded legitimately

She should run for the Dem Nomination in 2016

She's PERFECT

She's a socialist **** who wants to be the ruler over the serfs.

The flat out stupidity of leftists is that they have no idea that these people who claim to give a shit, only want to be in control. But the left is perpetually envious of the successful, so whores like Warren have mass appeal.

Are you being obtuse here...or are you just in self-denial?
As per typical, you open the thread with partisan cracks...then :lol:..have the audacity to make a statement about "left/right fools"...:lol::lol:
