ORLANDO, Florida – Sen. Rick Scott predicted on Friday that the Republican Party will flip blue Senate seats to red in at least four states in the 2022 midterms, after earlier this week declaring that the civil war within the GOP is "canceled."

"I think we've got opportunities across the country," Scott, R-Fla., said in an interview with Fox News. "Clearly, we're going to pick up Georgia. We're going to pick up Arizona. We're gonna pick up New Hampshire, we're going to pick up Nevada. But I think we have opportunities all across the country. There's 14 Democrat seats up and I think we can get quite a few of them."

Scott is the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), which means he's the person charged with bringing the GOP back to the Senate majority in 2022. He spoke to Fox News shortly after his address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Scott specifically said that the GOP will take back the Senate by focusing "on who the Democrats are, who the Republicans are. The Democrat Party has been taken over by socialism. That's not where America is. We're gonna focus on job creation. The Democrats aren't. We're gonna focus on school choice. Clearly, the Democrats don't even wanna open the schools."

I wouldn't be surprise at all, maybe even more than 4. Plus take back the House IMHO.

There is no way that the thing and the diseased twat that was elected in November won by legal means. In history. Most nations that have had elections without being threatened to death have elected people better then this. We have elected evil. And we all will end up suffering.

Unless scott and the GOP have a plan to prevent democrat cheating they should not make such bold predictions

Spend the next 2 years tightening our election laws and then see what happens
But, if the Republican candidates can cheat more than the Democratic candidates then that is ok.

Midterm elections tend to be kryptonite to The Presidents political party. Generally, that party loses seats and more often than not loses its majority.

There won't be enough Republican voters left to win anything, at the rate the Trump Republican Party is destroying itself.

Trump has yet to win a single election, and those he has touted as "his people" have fared the poorest in the generals.

No, it's not. But let's not kid ourselves about who is doing the most cheating. I don't see or read about anybody claiming the Repubs cheated.

Last I checked, Trump was elected POTUS in 2016. And BTW, the Dems did lose some seats in the House. True, they did win 3 seats in the Senate, but by the barest of margins.

Actually most nations that have had elections, do not have a Sore Loser cult of gargantuan self-delusional proportions, soooooooo............

This is a very different case. Jan 6 will be a disaster for Republicans. They don't even have a candidate in Arizona. In Georgia, the same coalition will defeat Republicans. Tyrants throughout history have found out that the harder they squeeze the more power will slip through their iron fist. Republicans have lost 2 Senate seats, a governor's race and the state legislature. Also 2 Presidential races. They will also lose New Hampshire.

I don’t disagree, but voters have a tendency to be fickle.

I understand that, but the history is not on The Presidents side. His party gaining seats in the midterms is the exception rather than the rule. Too many voters have a habit of being shortsighted and fickle In a legislative system designed to be slow and deliberate.

Exactly. If and when the Party in Power swings too far, the American Electorate is motivated to shift power to the other Party. Saw it with Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump. I don't see how and why Biden will be any different. At a minimum, I predict the GOP will take one of the Legislative Chamber majorities. The Biden Administration would need to not only be centrist, but unifying as well. Obama could not achieve that. Trump could not achieve that. I think Clinton and Bush had the best shots but even they saw chambers shift to the other party during their 8 years.

If Xiden can be kept alive and not get tucked away somewhere warm and safe then 22 will see a GOP lock on The Senate and quite possibly on The House.

If he is safely disposed of then it won't be a matter of concern as there will be no election. Chairperson Xarris will have declared a new emergency and all that shit will be prohibited "for our own good".

The next election is a midterm election, Dragonlady! Trump won't be running unless he runs for the Senate or the House! Duh?

One reason for that is very often the party in power gains seats they shouldn't have due to the Presidential election. This did not happen in 2020. Also Jan 6 was a gamechanger in the storming of the capitol by pro-Trump fascists and Republicans voting to overturn the election. The Senate is often a function of which seats are up. Republicans do not have a favorable map.

The Trump Republican Party and Jan 6 scramble all previous norms. It is Republicans who are blocking everything instead of compromising. That will not sit well with voters. Voters are closer to Democrats than Republicans on the issues.

You act as if Democrats never blocked anything. Let’s see where the economy is in ‘22. Let’s see if people have jobs and if they have jobs, how much of their paycheck are they keeping? See what energy prices and healthcare prices.

Democrats own everything now and are accountable.
