The qualifications required to become an advisor are not what you may think they are as I will pass on here.

Wealth Management Specialist: High school diploma or GED and a ten unit on line self study three month self study course followed by an eight question, multiple choice test with a grade of 70% is passing.

Certified Financial Consultant: Watch 16-18 on line videos with no final exam. No continuing education required.

Accredited Adviser in Insurance: One proctored exam. No continuing education required.

I'm going to be finishing up my degree in a top 15 business and accounting school and financial advisor is and will remain a growing field. Credintials are very important. When looking go to an actual firm. They have certified financial planners Aldo known as cfp certification. To be able to sell or advise on investment products they need additional certification. To be certified you need a 4 year degree.

Hope this settles this.
