Scary Thought....

As we all know Democrats and Republicans have never liked each other. They work together when they have to. The dislike between the two parties has only ever manifested itself in the form of name calling, crazy accusations, illegal campaign moves by both sides, and other partisian hate.

What if one day the rift becomes bigger than it ever has before?
I believe it will be the dems that are currently straying so far away from the American mainstream that will cause this possible rift. Both parties believe so strongly that they are right and the other is wrong and evil. American society continues to degenearte, (because of dems). The hatred becomes so great that Republicans and Democrats all across the nation actually start physically attacking each other.

There is a second Civil War, Democrats vs. Republicans.
The outcome of this suppossed war:
1. Winner and all that it stands for is right, loser and all that it stands for is wrong.
2. Winner takes control of government
3. Loser is shamed forever.

Is this a totally insaine prediction? Or do you guys think this could actually happen?

They are not so different as you claim. They only APPEAR to be different so you don't realize they combine to steal the authority and power from YOU and keep it for themselves. There is a reason they are called "Republicrats" and such. They are mostly power hungry socialists selling their souls (or ours) for more money and power through programs promoting citizen dependence and police state environments.

I think it is not a feasible outcome. The influence of one party or the other will diminish to the point where they are no longer a viable party - and another will take its place.

Besides that, the split between the parties is not as geographically stark as North and South.

That is a fallacy, there are and I repeat no good politicians in todays world. You choose between the less evil of the two. Both will raise taxes eventually and break almost every campaign promise they pledge. That said Bush has done a commendable job on the WOT.

Yeah, you're probably right. I only fear that if future generations of American youth will be so ignorant and uninformed that it could be our party that isn't viable any longer.

The man thinks that Christians and muslims worship the same god, and calls himself a Christian.

Bush HAS done a fine job as Commander in Chief, there are some good politicians. My dad is one, and I will be one.

Still, they do have some relevant differences that are worth voting for.

Defense policies are different.

The concept of America's role in the world is different,(when libs are being honest). Voting can still have an effect on our lives, despite the apathy you preach.

The concept of taxation levels is different.

I know what you said is supposed to really enlightened and shit, but I don't agree.
