It’s not just the money, it’s the demonization of police and hindering them from effective law enforcement tactics.

If that weren’t the case, you wouldn’t have this egregious increase in crime and violence across the US. Criminals fear no retribution as they have been emboldened knowing all they need to do is cry victim when under arrest. Further, what’s in it for the police when they are already putting their life in danger and now having in the back of their minds that Democrat politicians will ruin their careers if the arrest gains publicity?

Is it really "lawlessness" in San Francisco? After all, San Fran law has legalized shoplifting of items less than $950. And its legal in the Queen City to crap on the sidewalks and to pitch a tent wherever you like.

They have a lot looser system of laws than when Harry Callahan was working as an inspector there.

I was wondering how that mayor ever got elected with an attitude like that. More cops? Aggressive policing? She won't last long.

Because she did not campaign as an anti-crime pro-police mayor back in 2018. Had she done so, she would not have been elected in a place like San Francisco. Today however, not only are the citizens fed up, many of their leaders are as well.
