Look, we have 4% of population that are LGBT, about 12mln people. They have rather strong social and political power. Obama fights for their rights, even the Pope from Vatican fights for their rights! So marriages are legalized, but the court system failed. Why? A paradox of the US democracy?

Yeah, equality is the good sign of well thought-out social policy. There are too many social problems to legalize same-sex marriages. And besides, the court system doesn't work properly! Will our gay friends live happily someday?
