Actually it was to make Poland a more important member in NATO because Poland is hardline anti-Russian and to reduce Germany's importance in NATO and move NATO's "heart" East from the relatively lulled and "secured" west which was losing faith in a need for NATO.

Missile defense in Poland cannot stop an ICBM only smaller slower missiles like an intermediate ranged missile.

You do realize that for Iran to reach Europe with missiles they need to be ICBMs and the US has no ability to intercept ICBMs right?

False. To reach Europe from Iran, you need an IRBM, not a full ICBM.
False. The NMD/GBI system is designed to shoot down warheads from an ICBM.

I did just explain bellow but I will elaborate some:

Missile defense in Poland cannot stop an ICBM only smaller slower missiles like an intermediate ranged missile.

The Pols could change the barometric pressure so the Russian ICBM gyroscopic guidance system is confused....
