Rush has pegged it again! The latest thuggism came with the shake down of Gibson Guitar. The Feds raided Gibson for the alleged use of Madagascar ebony, a protected wood species and confiscated $1m worth of materials from Gibson severly hampering their production activities, but somehow the Feds overlooked competitor, C.F. Martin, who allegedly uses Brazilian rosewood, another protected species. Could the shake down of Gibson be because they are a non-union shop and a Republican supporter? Whereas, Martin was left untouched because they are a union shop and a supporter of Democrats and Obama? Just another example of anti-American, anti-business, anti-free market from the Obama regime.

Things that make you go...hummmmm?

Rush Says Washington is a "Thugocracy"

"Rush said that he though most people are incredibly gullible, and he felt that the key to radio programming was to reach that crowd, and that it would be really, really easy. He thought he could get anyone to believe anything he said, and the more outrageous it was, the more they would believe it."

It's not about Rush...it's about the fact we have a government that enforces the law on those who do not support them but disregards it for those who do.

The "thug in chief" exercises selective prosecution, his justice department ignores inquiries regarding 'fast and furious" which of course resulted in two murders and other crimes, sees the constitution as fundamentally flawed since it does not mandate "redistribution of wealth". Yea, I'd say the raid on Gibson is typical of what these people are capable of.

Gibson company had been ordering their wood for 17 years, from the same origin.

This one isn't over by a long shot!

Do we even know if any of that's true? Unsubstantiated charges are a dime a dozen. An unbiased OP would have given us some kind of link. This smacks of someone hoping we don't ask or don't check. ALWAYS be suspiciious when the poster isn't confident enough to provide a link. BTW, NOT a link back to Rush, please. :eusa_hand:

What the hell is going on in Washington? They attack classic guitar makers and ship illegal weapons to Mexico and then they laugh about the loss of half a billion in taxpayer loans to a solar energy factory that went under.

Henry Juszkiewicz, CEO of Gibson Guitars is a Republican contributor. You won't find an "unbiased" source of this info.

Here's an interview with Cavuto. He says he doesn't know why he was targeted for the raid, but he wants his shit back.

A charge was made that their competitor was given a pass. THAT'S what needs to be cited. Without it, how can it be determined if this is the truth or just a diversion to turn attention to the "evil gubmint"? The Gibson CEO saying "I don't know" doesn't cut it. If he doesn't know, they need a new CEO!!! If we're to take his word on that, why should we believe that anything is "known" about his competitor?

Rush apparently says all manner of shit. Does anybody have a solid reason for ascribing any value to his opinion? It's like giving a shit what Howard Stern says. It's inflammatory, and serves no earthly purpose.

Would have gladly added a link to the post - konradv, but I do not have privileges to post urls just yet...so thanks to Chanel for providing support! I am sure a google search will give you plenty of hits to browse in the meantime.

This is less about Rush, Democrats and Republicans and more about Agenda 21. (Google that shit, I DARE you!)

Under Agenda 21 rules, that wood can be imported but not worked by Americans! That is why they were "SWAT Teamed"! It's all about inforcing International Laws and pushing the Constitution aside. India didn't have any problem with what Gibson Guitars was doing.

It's all about shutting down American Industry.

EDIT: That cuts it! I'm buying a Gibson Guitar for Christmas!
