I like Leiberman, in paticular his courageous support during the Iraq war when most Democrats offered nothing but surrender and despair, but the US health care system does not work, it is too expensive with worse outcomes, if he does not like what is being presented, (and I do not entirely) then offer an alternative.

Indeed, any Mr. Smith dies in a real Washington, or Canberra, so rumble, fight, but at least for something that means something other than your re-election.

We still have a lot of evolving to do.

For me, I adjust frustration at the system with humor, otherwise I'd be constantly pissed off. I think were headed for the cliff and it's just a matter of stall tactics but alas inevitable.
I figure I may as well enjoy it as long as it lasts.

By the way, when I was a kid 9 to 12 we lived in Hamilton, North Island, New Zealand.
