I knew there was a reason I liked Donald Trump :eusa_clap:

Rosie O'Donnell had some fiery words for Donald Trump on The View Wednesday morning, calling him a "snake-oil salesman" following his announcement that he would not fire troubled Miss USA Tara Conner.

After hearing about her comments, Trump fired back to PEOPLE, calling her "a woman out of control" and saying he planned to sue O'Donnell over her statements questioning his financial well-being.

"You can't make false statements," Trump tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Rosie will rue the words she said. I'll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it'll be fun. Rosie's a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie."

The battle began on Wednesday's show, when a peeved O'Donnell said: "(He) left the first wife – had an affair. (He) had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend."

O'Donnell, who impersonated Trump by deepening her voice and flipping her hair to one side, aimed her criticism at his comment from the Tuesday press conference that, "I've always been a believer in second chances. Tara is good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance."

Conner, who just turned 21, will go to rehab but keep her crown, following reports of alleged drug and alcohol abuse. A grateful Conner apologized for her behavior at the press conference, and she thanked Trump for his compassion.

But O'Donnell was not as touched. After repeatedly saying she "didn't enjoy him," Rosie discussed Trump's finances – saying he went bankrupt, which Trump denies – and likened him to the "snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie. This is not a self-made man," O'Donnell said.

And while O'Donnell and her View co-hosts discussed Conner's alleged drug and alcohol abuse, Rosie was dismissive, saying, "She went out and she was partying – doing what Paris and Lindsay do."

She also turned her wrath toward the Miss USA organization itself. "Miss America is the prestige," she said. "Miss USA is a different thing. It's basically a model competition. Let's be realistic."

Trump's response? "She talked about the Miss USA contest, which has terrific ratings on NBC. Miss America got thrown off of network television! It's (on cable), where nobody watches it," he said, countering her statements. "And my father never gave me tons of money."

He also thinks Rosie's rant against him was personal. Trump says he once sarcastically chastised Rosie about her "failed magazine" and "failed talk show." Added The Donald: "I think she's just terrible."

For her part, O'Donnell seemed to realize she was in for a fight after she criticized Trump, adding: "Here comes the lawsuit. Get ready. This is going to be good."

On Wednesday afternoon The View executive producers, Bill Geddie and Barbara Walters, issued a statement in support of O'Donnell – and Trump.

"Both Rosie and Donald are high-spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of The View for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator. We cherish them both and hope the new year brings calm and peace."

I still don’t understand the history of Donald Trump. Did he ever go bankrupt or not? I seem to recall a building that he owned or a building that used his name. It was called “Trump Towers”. Didn’t that building file bankruptcy? If so, wasn’t Mr. Trump responsible for it? Will someone please explain this to me – How can Donald say that he was never bankrupt when Trump Towers went bankrupt? The notion of logic and responsibility elude me.

One of his casinos went chapter 11 (is now out), not bankrupt. His real estate business has always done well obviously.

He owned the casino? Okay. Isn’t it wrong to let something that you own go bankrupt if you can afford to pull it out of bankruptcy? If I have a hole in back yard and a mound of dirt in my front yard, shouldn’t I use the mound of dirt that is in my front yard to fill in the hole that is in my back yard? I just don’t understand it.

Yeah it's called the Taj Mahal Casino in atlantic city I believe. He owns a few seperate businesses. His real estate is his baby so I'm sure he spends most of his time and money on it. I suspect it went bad due to poor management. Pouring more money into the casino with poor management is not a good idea. Just bring in new people and in a year or two it gets better, and it did. Smart businessmen don't get wealthy by throwing money around no matter how trivial it looks.

Keep looking --I'm sure you can find something "wrong" with him.

Okay. I just have my doubts about him. I hope that he treated his investors and employees at that casino well. I just imagine him leaving it and its people out on a limb.

From what I have heard, Trump is a very savvy businessman who knows "when to hold them" and "when to fold them." I am sure that his team of lawyers are quite asute in not only when they can sue pseudo-celebrities for insulting them on television, but also how to protect all of Donald's businesses from eachother...hence if one goes under the rest are fine and he does not need to bail one out using the captial from the other.

Like any person in the business he is in, I'm sure he's absolutely ruthless and can be quite a bastard. I just hope that Rosie is prepared for what shooting off your mouth on national television can bring you if you insult the wrong person...Kelly Ripa played nice...it doesn't look like Trump is going to follow her example.

Some of his businesses have gone bankrupt; *he* has not.

They should have an arm wrestling match to settle this. I'd put money on Rosie. I'd also put money on her being better at gator rasslin, driving a Peterbuilt, and having a bigger dick.

Yeah well....You can call Trump, a very Rich Idiot...Not saying that makes him anyone special, I don't really care for him one way or the other...

As for Rosie....I'm amazed at the change in her over the yrs...

I enjoyed watching her when she had her first daytime tv show come out yrs ago, she seemed like a nice and funny person then......

But now.....Good Grief......
She is a bully, loud mouth, ugly souled, holier than thou egotistical bitch...
And she certainly has no room to put other people down, her life has had its dramas and failures...

just my 2cnts...

Trump has always come across as an idiot to me. How he has got where he is amazes me. I reckon he's just a house of cards...

He prostitutes himself out to the highest bidder for any money he makes thats how he got where he is.

I dont think he has much of an image to protect. But he is definately the one in the right in this one.

Rosie had it completely backwards. She asked what made him the moral authority to give Miss USA a second chance. What made him the judge of moral character... The fact is he didnt have to judge her to extend her mercy. The only person really judging miss USA is Rosie who claiming she didnt deserve the second chance. The fact is Trump has had lots of second chances so why shouldnt he extend second chances to other.

And Rosie... Rosie is about as immoral as they come. For her to be judging anyone is inherently hypocritical.

Frankly the woman deserves everything she gets. One of these days maybe she should consider thinking before she speaks and going on a diet.

Rosie's View success seems to have her thinking that she can get away with anything. Trump with his money and power may be able to disabuse her of that notion.

I listened to some recorded comments made by Donald. It seems as though all that he says about Rosie is that she is an unattractive lesbian. He seems obsessed with the fact that she is an overweight lesbian. He did say that her magazine and talk show failed. So what? He failed at things too. Still, he often ranted about the fact that she is a fat lesbian. In my opinion, he ran out of any relevant significant bullets and is merely throwing a temper tantrum. By the way, how many ex-wives does he have? Perhaps he wants Rosie’s girlfriend to be his next wife. Oh well. In my opinion, the fat dyke has him beat, at least when it comes to showing class.

Trump is no paragon of virtue, and his comments about Rosie weren't very nice. But- and I mean this in the most mature way possible- she started it.

Their BOTH....

Egotistical rich asshole, who think they are smarter than the average bear...

And what they both don't realize.........

Is that NOBODY GIVES A SHIT, what either of them have to say....

But they just have to keep boring us all to death, because the think they are soooo intelligent, aaaaannnnnnnnnnd sooo important......

Wheres the puking smilie when you need it.......yuk yuk....bore bore....yawn yawn...

I'm not a fan of either Donald Trump (big ego) nor Rosie O'Donnell (big mouth).

In this situation, I definitely am rooting for "The Donald". Why? (as if anyone cares)

1. Donald Trump owns the Miss America Pageant, therefore, the currently reining Miss America is an employee of "The Donald".
2. I'm quite certain that the current Miss America had to sign a contract that stated that she was supposed to conduct herself in public in a certain manner.
2. Considering that Donald Trump has the right to summarily dismiss any Miss America who breaks that contract, and further, giving said Miss America a second chance should not give anyone any cause to complain.

3. Enter Rosie O'Donnell.... an arrogant, egotistical big mouth who seems to have a problem with the way Donald Trump handled the situation. First of all, the Miss America pageant is his private property and Miss America is his employee, he has the right to fire or forgive her as he sees fit and no one can say anything about it. My conclusion... Rosie O'Donnell has a problem with the fact that another person has the right to private property and that she can't control it. That must really frost her ass. Not only that, but Rosie O'Donnell has a problem that a man is telling a woman what to do... I'm sure that frosts her ass even more.
4. Rosie O'Donnell got herself involved in the gay marriage issue back when it was big news by marrying her partner. So, in effect, she said, "my sex life is my business, keep your nose out of it". So what does she do? She criticizes Donald Trump's sexual indiscretions on TV in front of millions of people. Uhhhhh.... isn't that a bit hypocritical? After all, who's business is Donald Trump's sex life? Of course, Donald Trump didn't break any laws by having affairs (well, not any law of Man), but Rosie O'Donnell broke California law by marrying her partner.

Rosie O'Donnell's attitude sums up the Leftist elite's attitude quite succinctly.
1. They believe they should make the rules and expect everyone else to obey them, but they don't have to follow their own rules.
2. No one has the right to tell them what to do or question them, but they have every right to stick their noses into everyone else's affairs.
3. No one can tell them what to do, but they have every right to tell others what to do.

This isn't the first time that Big Butt Bitch Breath did something like this. She was an anti-gun activist a few years back. She wanted to have all persons' guns confiscated... then what do we find out? Her body guards, and her kids' body guards are all packing heat. Like I said, her attitude is that she thinks she can make the rules, but the rules don't apply to her.

P.S. And when it comes to "showing class"... this is what I have to say. If the Left's ideal is a classless society, then Rosie O'Donnell is about as ideal as you can get. When it comes to showing no class, Rosie O'Donnell is at the head of the class. She's like a donkey's butt, an ass's ass, but she's too stupid or too wrapped up in herself to know enough to be embarrassed. That applies to Donald Trump, too, both should grow up.. If I were the Donald, I would say "no comment" in public instead of getting down in the gutter with her, then, in private, sue her ass out of existence.
