Ron Paul: Obama no socialist - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

President Obama is not a socialist, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) told conservatives gathered at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference today.

"The question has been raised about whether or not our president is a socialist," Paul said, according to Talking Points Memo. "I am sure there are some people here who believe it," Paul said. "But in the technical sense, in the economic definition of a what a socialist is, no he's not a socialist."

Paul went on to call Obama a "corporatist" instead:

Well Ron, there goes your chance for 2012. But thanks for being honest.

Ron Paul's 2012 chances were right up there with mine.

I like Ron Paul up to the points when he says stuff like this.

Unless you want to look at it this way. P-BO's not a socialist... he's a fascist.

He is also a marxist, facist socialist who is a Muslim atheist who belongs to a racist christian church.

ya know Ron Paul also said when the house convenes on Monday he is going to introduce a one page peice of legislation which gives each and every American the opportunity to opt out of obamalamacare!:lol::lol:

There you have it America.....the funny part is...they believe it

...it seems we continually hear from stoooooooooooooooopid republican cheerleaders who deride ron paul in one breath while pretending to detest 'big government' in the next breath..

...it seems many of these stoooooooooooooopid republican-cheerleaders, who are 'informed' by the republican radio clowns, will snarl at 'big government' while they suck for stinking big government politicians like ronald rayguns, milton romney, farah palin, hoot gingrich, and the rest of the stinking republican politicians who hand us virtually the same 'tax bill' as the dreaded democreeps..(are you dumbazzes math-challenged?)

...the one guy who consistently advocates for honestly 'getting rid of government' is ron paul...but for some rea$on  stinking, motherf-cking, republican shills like rush windbag, glenn wreck, hannitwitty, kneel boor, and the rest of the goddamned fool republican radio shills galore, don't like ron paul..and therefore, neither do millions of stooooooooopid fuck republican/conservative supporters who pay heed to these radio/tv shills..

..so have at it, you drooling conservative republican cheerleaders:...tell us all about how willard milton romney, farah palin, bobby jindal, or some other phony 'small government' conservative republican is going to 'fix the problem of big government,' you stoooooooooooopid, brainwashed, republican radio parrots!..

...the rest of you, have a good day!..

As usual Dr. Paul is right. I would label this President the same as the last...A Socialist/Corporatist. The Nazis could have also been labelled this same way. They adhered to a Socialist doctrine but in reality they were Socialists/Corporatists

Well, a corporatist is a fascist, a fascist is a socialist who still in transition, one who has not yet metamorphosized.

So unless you have evidence that Obama wants to nationalize the means of production, he is a fascist .

Corporatist he is.
Ron would be the best pResident in His Story.:eusa_hand:
One problem
The flag waving, joo worshipping morons would never allow him in office.
There used to be a guy much like him. Ross Perot.
Immediately dismissed by the bible thumping, flag waving, assholes that have ruined your country.
Off the map is befitting for 3 nations I can think of.One has Queen worshipers. Figure out the other two.

I do love how the right can claim in one breath that the President is a communist, and then in the next claim he's a tool of corporations.

He is also a marxist, facist socialist who is a Muslim atheist who belongs to a racist christian church.
Nope, sorry, not a birther here, so the whole muslim/atheist/Racist-Christian argument really speaks to only one thing, it's just noise to try and distract from the real point: his true religion is his politics and himself.

But since socialism, fascism, corporatism and marxism are all synonymous, with only barely visible shade varieties of operations that differ, sure you can be right on that.

State-owned of the means of production (and therefore the revenue from them flowing back to the state) is the same as the government being beholden to the interest of large corporations? That doesn't even make a little sense.

Obama is a welfare state politician. He is probably a communist but knows that telling the truth will not get him elected. So he has chosen instead to do whatever he can to follow Karl Marx advise:

"The proletariat will use its political supremacy to wrest, by degree, all capital from the bourgeoisie, to centralize all instruments of production in the hands of the state…"

.
