The GOP wants to get Obama out of office (who doesnt) and Romney gives them the best chance.

Dems are PRAYING Perry gets the nomination -so many chances to attack..

Romney was the CLEAR winner in the GOP debate.

VERY IMPRESSED.

And Romney SHOULD be the GOP nominee ANYWAY.

By far the best qualified.

Proved it in the debate.

I would settle for Romney over Obama any day.... I wanted him to be the nominee in 2008.
Pissed me off when McShame got the knod

Im not crazy about all of his policies and ideas, but he is very qualified to be POTUS!

I'll grant you he'd be well qualified to succeed Our Kenyan "president" as leader of The United Socialist States of Soviet America. But only if nobody's interested in restoring America.

He even created tens of thousands of jobs. In China. He want's to do for us what he did for them.

I really dont see how a debate qualifies someone for the Presidency. I like Romney. But his debating skills are hardly something that are going to convince me to support him for President.

And considering conservatives came out for him in droves in 2008 I highly doubt they are going to leave him in 2012.

Not unless something surprises me--PERRY self-imploded tonight--over social security--so right now Romney will take the lead--but remember we've got a long way to do.

Can you do more than fling insults at Romney? What about his policies makes you say "But only if nobody's interested in restoring America"?

Please elaborate.....

Romney said Romneycare was passed to keep people were going to the emergency room for "free health care". Obamacare was passed in an attempt to keep people from going to the emergency room because it's costs 10 to 100 times more than having health care. A cost that is passed on to the taxpayer.

See the "theme"?

If Romney is the nominee conservatives will stay at home and The New Messiah will be re-anointed.

I'm not sure about that. They did that with McCain and we got Obama. I think Obama alone will bring the republicans out to vote...along with the majority of independents.

We got Obama because it was a repudiation of Bush- and McCain was actually doing OK for himself until he flew back to DC and signed the Bush TARP (which btw has been paid back unlike the Obama stimulus) I believe that cost him the election.

I have a number of registered republican friends; some independents and some libertarian...all of them will vote Romney if he's the nominee...they'll all vote Perry if he's the nominee etc etc etc...the point is they want Obama GONE!

It won't just be that republicans will turn out strong as well as independents...it's also that democrats won't turn out as they did in 08. Too many are feeling let down and disenfranchised.

Anyone of the Republicans running would have to be Pretty bad to do a worse job Leading this country, Especially on the Economy, Than Obama has.

My Problem with Romney is that I think he has a massive Achilles heal. Romney Care, I think that could cause some Conservatives to stay home. However I think the Point made earlier on this thread will win the day. Most Republicans are so fed up with this Terrible Leadership, and Frankly Destructive Polices, that we will vote for who ever get's the Nod.

If Perry gets the nomination - the dem smear machine will hammer him relentlessly on his leave the Union quote -a and why he backed gore in 1988.
