Romney says he will balance the budget - how ?

He wants to INCREASE military spending.

He wants to CUT taxes.

Does he honestly think he can fund increased military spending, a tax cut, AND close the current deficit by cutting planned parenthood and public broadcasting? How the FUCK does that add up?

Yep, like I said willfull ignorance is rampant on both sides, thanks for proving my point.

Propaganda FAIL.

Romney simply plans to eliminate the 47% he feels are expendable in the same manner of his past history of outsourcing to China leaving those same without a means of support while amassing their wealth for himself.

Obama’s second largest fundraiser is John Rogers, the CEO of investment giant Ariel Capital Management. He has raised more than $1.5 million for Obama’s reelection campaign. Bully for him, except for one thing: Ariel Capital Management owns a $48.6 million stake in Accenture, which just happens to be, according to the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, the nation’s “best” outsourcer.

And that’s not all for Rogers; he stated that he wants to intensify the trend that started with moving call centers and factories overseas to outsourcing “day-to-day activities” including pest control, landscaping, and secretarial functions. And Rogers isn’t ashamed one bit:

“We’re making a very big bet right now on outsourcing. People have generally soured on the idea, and many companies are trading at discounts to their private-market values. But we don’t think that view accurately reflects the powerful secular growth we’re going to see as companies and individuals outsource more of their day-to-day activities.”

Of course, Rogers isn’t just anyone; he and Obama were buddies in Chicago, and Rogers’ ex-wife Desiree left a $350,000 per year job at Allstate Insurance Company to serve as White House party planner.

If Obama’s second largest fundraiser is outsourcing jobs by the bushel, you just know his biggest fundraiser has got to be cravenly doing the same thing, right?

Right. Obama’s largest fundraiser, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who raised $2 million for the campaign and co-hosted a $10 million Hollywood fundraiser in May, has been trying to outsource jobs to China by expanding his company’s work there. Why, Jeffrey has even been investigated by the SEC for doing it.

GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt was appointed by his good friend Barack to lead the White House Jobs Council. During Immelt’s reign at GE, GE rid itself of more than 34,000 American workers, while adding 25,000 foreign workers to its payroll. Additionally, in July 2011, GE fired 150 workers at its X-ray division in Wisconsin and moved the operation to China, hiring 65 new workers there.

While Obama’s campaign released an ad boasting of green jobs it has created through energy loans it has given, they failed to mention a salient point: among the loans were three taxpayer-guaranteed loans to Spanish clean energy conglomerate Abengoa worth $2.78 billion to create 195 permanent jobs—more than $14 million per job—as well as a $529 million loan guarantee to Fisker Automotive, which manufactures $100,000 electric cars in Finland and is now virtually bankrupt.

Now let’s talk auto industry. Obama’s Department of Energy gave nearly $6 billion in taxpayer-guaranteed loans to the Ford Motor Company, which is expanding its business outside the U.S. Obama gave General Motors $50 billion and GM started building cars in China and Mexico to save on labor; later, Obama gave GM $45 billion in tax breaks so GM did not have to pay a dime in income taxes after making a $7.6 billion profit.

Now we get the picture. Obama criticizes Romney for outsourcing while being the king of outsourcers himself.

Obama’s ‘Outsourcer’ Overreach
The president's campaign fails to back up its claims that Romney 'shipped jobs' overseas.
Posted on June 29, 2012 , Updated on July 2, 2012

Summary
Obama accuses Romney in a series of TV ads of being a “corporate raider” who “shipped jobs to China and Mexico,” asking if voters want to elect an “outsourcer in chief.” But some of the claims in the ads are untrue, and others are thinly supported.

Bain Capital, the venture capital firm founded by Romney in 1984, is the focus of the Obama campaign’s attacks. There is no question that Bain invested in some companies that helped other companies outsource work and that some of that work went overseas. That was the core business for Modus Media and SMTC Corp. — two outsource companies featured in a June 21 article in the Washington Post that has been the basis of recent Obama TV ads. Bain also invested in U.S.-based companies that sold goods manufactured here and abroad, and some of those companies closed U.S. facilities and eliminated U.S. jobs.

But after reviewing numerous corporate filings with the Securities and Exchange
Commission, contemporary news accounts, company histories and press releases, and the
evidence offered by both the Obama and Romney campaigns, we found no evidence to support the claim that Romney — while he was still running Bain Capital — shipped American jobs overseas.

One TV ad, called “Come and Go,” claims that Romney “shipped jobs to China and Mexico.” But two examples cited by the Obama campaign occurred after Romney left Bain. There’s no clear evidence that a third company shipped jobs to China under Romney.

A second ad called “Revealed” mocks Romney’s tough talk about cracking down on China’s trade practices by saying “all he’s ever done is send them our jobs” and citing the Washington Post article. But the newspaper article contained no examples of U.S. jobs being shipped to China while Romney was working at Bain.

The “Come and Go” ad casts Romney as a “corporate raider,” but that term, loaded with negative connotations, is simply inaccurate. Bain didn’t engage in hostile takeovers when Romney was at the helm.

That ad also repeats the claim that as governor of Massachusetts, Romney was “outsourcing state jobs to India.” But it wasn’t the state that outsourced contracts. Rather, Romney vetoed a measure that would have prevented the state from doing business with a state contractor that was locating state customer-service calls in India.

He'll cut tax rates. Cut wasteful spending. Push to the states things that are their responsibility that the Feds shouldnt be involved in. and jumpstart the economy.

I am sure he will have a much more detailed plan when he has an opportunity to look at the books. And I have no doubt that he will look at all the books of every department. That is one thing he is VERY good at.

The key is to bring up tax REVENUE. You libs get too hung up who is paying what percentage and whether or not its "fair". Stop the government's current War on Business and get them hiring millions of people. By putting the millions of people that are unemployed back to work, they become taxpayers instead of welfare recepients.

Cuts can and should be made in entitlements and government agencies that don't need to exist. We should only be spending big on the DoJ and DoD, everything else should be axed.

Oh, I would also add, he will use money obtained by leasing federal lands for energy exploration. Something he's already said he would do. That will help him reach two of his goals.

Im excited to see Romney at work. He really is an amazing man.

There really is only one way out of the deficit. The economy has to grow. We don't need people paying more taxes, we need more people paying taxes. obama assumes that the economy will be stagnant meaning that taxes is the only way to reach a balanced budget. If the entirety of wealth in the whole country were confiscated it would run the government for just over two months, but the deficit would continue to grow.

We need to outsource Progressives. Best best would be to ship them off in a box labeled "Spare Parts and Party supplies" so they're not returned

Spending time in China might do you some good

I know one thing for certain, Romney will pass a budget.

That's something Obamaturd has not been able to do in 4 years!

Romney’s proposals:

Cap total Fed spending at 20 percent of the GDP.
Raise defense spending to 4 percent of the GDP.

The most obvious way to accomplish the above would be to make pretty large cuts in other programs. Both entitlements and discretionary programs would be on the chopping block.

Problem? Of course. If the programs are ones you like or use, right?

He's already explained it time after time. Left wing loonies like you choose not to hear it.

I am a bit stunned that there are people here who dont know how to balance a budget
