REUTERS: Israeli jet shot down for "an act of aggression that aided Islamic State."

Syria's army high command said in a statement on Friday Israeli jets breached Syrian air space early in the morning and attacked a military target near Palmyra in what it described as an act of aggression that aided Islamic State.


It said its air defenses shot down one of the Israeli jets over what it called "occupied ground" and damaged another.

One of the oldest tricks in the book is to create an enemy. Israel loves this so they then can argue self defense.

There is no Iranian / Hezbollah transfer station in Palmyra.

The only thing in Palmyra is the Syrian Army on one side, and the ISIS on the other side of a running battle. Along with some Russian bomb disposal teems dismantling booby traps left by ISIS.

For israel to claim this was the location of a Hezbollah/Iran weapons swap is insulting to our intelligence.
