Republicans Identify their weakness: Americans Who Can Vote!

Republicans have honed in on the glitch in our democratic system - ordinary Americans having a say in their self-governance!

The former guy had identified the problem when he tried to disenfranchise entire counties that had indulged in a personal betrayal after four years of Trumpery, and he then tried threatening Republican office holders to get them to falsify the tally to fit his desires.

Unfortunately, Republican judges - including Trump-appointees - laughed the former totalitarian solution out of court, and integrity reared its ugly head to kill the latter.

Summoning his goons to attack Congress to prevent its certifying the democratic verdict fizzled as well amidst mayhem and carnage.

In 2021, an obscene level of Americans voted, the security of the elective process acclaimed by cyber-security experts, the Attorney General, and others, and just look the the result! - democracy wreaking havoc with Republican control!

Radically reducing the number of people voting would actually ease the strain on poll workers - fewer ballots to count, and less opportunity for goons to threaten them and their families!

Maybe, the GOP could institute a sudden "flash mob" approach to elections - time and place only confided to the "right people."

In any event, it'll be fun watching them contrive pretexts to impair the ability of an American to exercise her civic duty.

Georgia Republicans seek to end Sunday early voting,
a popular election method for Black voters
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis calls for restrictive new voting laws
Might the exposure of all those fake claims of "voter fraud!" impair Republican politicians' populist zeal to suppress the populace?

Nine Election Fraud Claims, None Credible
Hardly. A legitimate vote can be thoroughly repugnant!

What'll they come up with?

Idiots who vote is what we fear.
Democracy dies when the People learn they can vote themselves their neighbor's paycheck
Anticipated about 250 years ago and why the Founders went for a "republic" in place of a "democracy".

The "forces of darkness" started right away to turn that around and hence the mess and folly we have today.

Enough Idiots now allowed to vote and hence steal their neighbor's paycheck. Perfect way to kill incentive and productivity, which leads to the path of social and economic decline. More looters than makers is not a formula for success.
Attempting to suppress the vote of Americans whose political views differ is nothing new.

Participatory democracy is an expression of the will of the People, and some who fear that expression contrive excuses to target some Americans for exclusion.
Those "Attempting to suppress the vote..." were mostly limited to a few of the 50 states and largely in the past.

Larger concern is the efforts from one of the politically partisan sides to allow votes of non-citizens, when they, supposed real citizens, are casting multiple votes. Classic case which is difficult to trace and document would be college students from out of state whom manage to vote both in their "home" state as well as the state where they are attending college.

Small brains confuse validating legitimate votes with "suppressing the vote" of those not legally franchised to vote.

Along with that four years wasted on delusions of "Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election" from SHillery.
A diversion from the topic, but Russia's interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election to hurt Clinton and help Trump (as confirmed by the FBI, NSA, CIA, and two Republican-led Senate investigative committees) did not requite "collusion" - although the former guy liked to tell his goons that is what is was about.

Both Putin and the failed casino operator and faded reality-tv performer saw it as being in their respective interests to see Trump elected. Divisiveness within the U.S. and with allies (NATO) was a compelling incentive for Russia.

Hyper-partisans always contrive such pretenses to impede Americans who are inclined to vote against them.

After 2020 (A joint statement issued by the Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council and the Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating executive committees said this year’s election marked “the most secure in American history”) Republican-run legislatures are hellbent on preventing targeted demographics from voting.

You LIE. The only one who colluded with Russia was Hitlery. Proven Fact.

That is certainly the hyper-partisan propaganda spewed at the naïve and vulnerable. Some eagerly swallow it.

Back in reality where documentation provides confirmation, the Republican-led, bipartisan senate intelligence committee confirmed the finding of U.S. intelligence services - the FBI, the CIA, and the NSA. The 85-page report was the product of two years of bipartisan, staff-led efforts, and offers a comprehensive look at Russian operatives' activity surrounding the 2016 elections.

SELECT COMMITTEE ON INTELLIGENCE UNITED STATES SENATE ON RUSSIAN ACTIVE MEASURES;
CAMPAIGNS AND INTERFERENCE IN THE 2016 U.S. ELECTION

"... where the Intelligence Community assessed that the Russian government "aspired to help President-elect Trump's election chances when possible by discrediting Secretary Clinton and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him," the Committee found that IRA social media activity was overtly and almost invariably supportive of then-candidate Trump, and to the detriment .of Secretary Clinton's campaign."

Of course, Trump bum kissers rage against such comprehensive, objective analysis by responsible, reliable sources, and cling to their fairy tale.

It's an emotional, not a rational matter for them.

Politely request credible evidence for their blind faith, and they become hysterical.

Cynicism is naive? That's a new one.
A consuming mindless cynicism is the ultimate naïvité in that it renders one a clueless innocent to be preyed upon by self-promoting liars. An abandonment of critical, objective thinking resulted in defenseless vulnerability.

As if mainstream media elites and the bureaucrats who run our system aren't "self-promoting liars"....

If mail-in balloting is a good idea, then how come most of Europe either doesn't allow it or heavily restricts it, specifically due to concerns of fraud?
If you wish to emulate European models such as less costly universal healthcare and the abandonment of surrendering to the State the right to kill people in cold blood, goodo on you!

The French model is quite good actually. Ending the death penalty might work if we could first get our homicide rate down.

As for mail in ballots, you may have inadvertently swallowed another of the former guy's blatant lies. Currently, 14 countries in Europe provide in-country postal voting opportunities to voters. In eight of these countries, all voters are eligible, and in six only voters in certain outlined categories may vote.

14 countries is still not "most of Europe." 13 of those countries are in the EU, so it's not the majority of the EU either. And as you said only 8 of these allow universal mail-in voting.

Yep. Republicans see the writing on the wall. Their time is coming to an end. So this is the last ditch effort to game the system.
Came to an end when lying cheating democrats rigged the vote with fraudulent voting machined and mail in ballots .

Hyper-partisan paranoia conjures up such an alternate universe.

In this one, truth is established through credible evidence, not vast, inclusive clandestine, diabolical conspiracies that give rise to self-serving fantasies without substance.

Try to handle the truth: The lies you like so much fizzled, just as the former guy's goons attacking American democracy based upon his lies fizzled.

Wipe your nose and stop whining.

“I don't want everybody to vote... As a matter of fact, our leverage in the election quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down.”

― Paul Weyrich

The honesty is quite refreshing...

Excellent!

Vote on the first Tuesday - period, end of story.

The DNC and RNC both have volunteered to pay the $5 to purchase a state ID.
Where is that in the Constitution? I’ll wait.

Next .... ;)
Yes, I know that the Constitution mandates the day. Where does it specify that all votes must be cast in person on that day, or prohibit mail-in voting. I’ll wait. :)

Moving the goal posts again?

Really? Please explain all of these unnecessary laws that are being proposed by the scared jackasses of the republican party. They know that they can't compete. Remember that there is no real widespread voter fraud, but there is voter suppression. I'm in Virginia, and all the republicans have run in my state are some right-wing nutjobs, anti-women, anti-LGBTs, crazy religionists. I remember when republicans were sane people, now they are just insane bimbos.
That's what YOU are. The laws being proposed by Republicans are necessary. There only problem is they are too weak, and don't go far enough to suppress votes. Biden and the Democrat scammers know they can't compete in a fair, legal election, so they have embarked on a campaign to supercharge their age-old method of election cheating, by recruiting ineligible to vote people (illegal aliens), and stuffing ballot boxes with their illegal votes. They are also busing illegals all over the country, so vsrious states can get more Democrat votes.

These votes need to be suppressed, by requiring citizenship ID to vote. Thus, voter suppression is the # 1 thing that is necessary to restore American democracy, which has been shattered in the fraudulent 2020 "election."

The notions that you have been DUPED into believing were soundly refuted, and that is broadcasted everyday on Newsmax and other conservative channels. That you are ridiculously unaware of this, is a testament to the strength of liberal, lying, OMISSION media, and the power it has over those who adhere to it, and never get the truth.
