NOTE--that this report is dated December 2010--and before the new freshman tea party members were seated on Jan. 20, 2011.

The Tea Party in this country is being blamed for this. It is well noted in the below linked article that the 112th congress has unanimously voted against all earmarks--and it is noted that Michelle Bachmann and her 13 member tea party caucass did not ask for any earmarks.

However--if your Republican congressman/woman is listed on the above list--you may want to give them an earful. Especially if they promised you that they would not ask for any earmarks.

Meh...

Most earmarks are monies that would've been sent to states in block grants anyways.

Best tend to the overall bloat of the budget in the first place.

It doesn't matter it was MONEY--that we don't have to spend. And these Republicans that asked for them--knowing that we don't have the money--should be addressed. Once more--I am more than a little ticked that every left wing thread--like the Huffington post is blaming the tea party for this.

This is NOT a list of republicans this is a list of people who call themselves the tea party caucus.

why did you change it to republicans?

He says the tea party is being blamed for this , they are the tea party so why not?

LIAR!!! These Congressmen are not members of the TEA Party Caucus. Please read the OP, this time slowly, out loud and for comprehension. Sound out the tough words, or ask mommy to help.

They are not the TEA Party.

Do you need a reading comprehension class? You can look on the above list and see that Bachmann nor 13 others of the "real" tea party caucas did NOT ask for earmarks. The new freshman members did not enter until Jan. 20, 2011--and the rest of these politicians are Republicans who more than likely have held their congressional seats for YEARS.

The "real" Tea Party Caucus?

Fine with me they get all huffy about it but they need to KICK THEM OUT of their little caucus.

will the REAL tea party caucus kick them out?

I stand corrected. I misread the line about Ms Bachmann and 13 members.
Looks like we have some TPINO's that either have to man up or face primary challenges.

In my defense, I did clean the gutters today.
