Even if one stopped direct flights from certain countries, it would be nothing at all for an infected person to fly to a country that wasn't on the list and board a plane for America.

You have never traveled internationally, have you?
You don't even have a passport, do you?
travelers can be traced from embarkation to final destination..Don't kid yourself.

what does it matter....if the infected person from Liberia, is now in the UK, then anyone from the UK, who has not traveled to the infectious countries, yet come in contact with and contracted it from the Liberian with Ebola that traveled to their country, could be carrying it....and tracking their travels through their passport, is meaningless...

plus we have worldwide trade, coming in to our ports...with open access to spread the disease.

But your GOVERNMENT says it's NOT CONTAGIOUS unless the symptoms are easily recognized, BUT, at least some common sense is being used ...

Bull shit. Already there are countries who are refusing entry at the point of origin. AKA you can't get on an Air France plane sitting in Liberia about to fly to Paris. Within a month virtually every country in the world will be restricting commercial flights from West Africa.
Watch the mass exodus of people out of W. A. while they can still get out. They only have a week or so or they will be stuck in W.A.

Why was this person allowed to enter one of our ports of entry and then roam around New York City when he was treating Ebola patients in Guinea?

Why is the Obama Administration and Congress allowing this crap to happen?
