REPORT: Oakland Athletics Ownership Meeting With Las Vegas Strip Operators For Possible Move To Sin City

yet so is san fran yet you dont see them moving their teams out of that city oh and vegas is an even BIGGET shithole so the moves by the Raiders and now the A's make no sense at all as did neither the move by the warriors to san fran for every homeless people on the streets you can show in oakland,i can show as many in san fran so whats ther point of moving from one shithole to another and in this case, moving to an even BIGGET shithole vegas.

everybody thinks Vegas is so cool and glamous but they dont talk about the call girls everywhere or how it has the worst school system in America or once you visit on the outskirts of Vegas, the place is a very depressing place to live in.
were i am at is much better than Anaheim.....no graffiti....no heavy traffic....freeways are only backed up if there is an accident or construction.... kids in the neighborhood walk by on the way to school and dont fuck with anything in your yard....lots of parks.....houses are well taken care of......yea its depressing.....

best damn post on this thread.the NFL is a corrupt cartel.the NFL after the Rams left LA,they made more strict rules and guildlines on relocation that that made it much more difficult to move, was suppose to anyways,Both the chargers and Raiders violated those guildlines. The Rams were the only one of the three that followed the guildlines. and meant them.the only one that should have been allowed to leave..It was the only move that made sense.

one of the main guildlines they had was to move to another city, you had to have bad attendance. The Rams attendance in st louis was horrendous so they were given the green light rightly so. The Raiders and The chargers though, they did NOT meet those guildlines. they pakced them in and sold out practically all the time.

Nobody here can answer me the question with a straight face and refute it that the chargers and Raider should never have been allowed to leave oakland and san diego, they cant answer the question that if the NFL is not going to follow their rules that they institute, what is the point in having those rules?:cuckoo:

The raiders and chargers as well fucked up by moving to because nobody in LA gives a shit about the chargers same with vegas and the Raiders,Both teams now have SIXTEEN road games a year instead of 8 because the opposing fans always greatly outnumber the home teams fans. neither team has a homefield advantage anymore. :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg:

A LOT of Cowboys fans in SoFi for the Chargers’ home opener. Do you think the Chargers will ever be accepted in Los Angeles?

This for a team that was in BACK TO BACK superbowls. How does a city of so called raider fans not show up in droves to see a team that went to back to back superbowls?:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

I said this is what would happen when the Raiders moved to vegas, that they would have no fan support.and yet Mark Davis is such a fucking idiot that he is actually surprised about all of this?:cuckoo:

It did not take a genuis to see this would happen because NOBODY IN LA gives a crap about the chargers and Vegas has transients there, many from cold weather cities, they dont give a shit about the Raiders.

In okaland, that was UNHEARD of for chief fans to come there, you came to oakland in a chiefs outfit, you got beat up so chiefs fans knew better than to come to oakland.:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

vegas is home team for the OPPOSING teams coing to play them.vegas is ALWAYS a ROAD game for the raiders as is LA for the chargers.:auiqs.jpg:

its the same with the the hokey team, fans from the opposing teams always outnumber the home teams fans. there is a reason why pro teams have stayed away from vegas all these years. there is no homefiled advantage for vegas teams, they dont even support theor own college football team, why would they give a shit about a team from oakland? :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo:

no fan support?.....they avg 60,000 a game....

In 1992 the Giants under Giants-owner Bob Lurie were set to go to St. Petersburg, Florida, but the National League owners blocked the move by one vote (needed 10 of 14, only got 9). Had it gone through, the A's could have been the only Bay Area baseball attraction. Who knows, they may have ended up in Frisco by now in the ballpark the Giants enjoy now.

as always, you demonstrate you have reading comprehension problems.:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:when I said no fan support,I did not say that people dont show up for Games there, that there are many empty seats, what i said and PROVED in those links i posted that you OBVIOUSLY did not read,is that The MAJORITY of the fans are ALWAYS from the opposing teams GREATLY OUTNUMBERING the Raider fans that show up with NO HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE. Do try and keep up around here.

i took you to school proving that the majority of fans are ALWAYS from the opposing teams, thats who all those 60,000 they average are from. :auiqs.jpg: the brokers sell all ther seats to out of towners that are constantly coming there.that are from the opposing teams.

you either have reading comprehension problems or you only see what you WANT to see because you missed that link of that article i posted where mark davis was pissed off angry how chiefs fans greatly outnumbered the raider fans in a prime tiime game.:auiqs.jpg: how so called raider fans in a city can not turn up in droves to see a team that went to back to back superbowls is pathetic.:auiqs.jpg: that NEVER happend in Oakland other then the last couple years or when they knew they were leaving them

raiders now have SIXTEEN road games all year do try and keep up around here.:itsok:

when the media glamourizes vegas, they try and get everybody to think its such a great place to live in by always showing the hotels and casinos, ect, ect.but what they NEVER show is how depressing it is once you get out of the city and are on the outskirts of vegas,I have seen many dozens of people on youtube who are residents there saying they want to get out of vegas and this as we can all see in the video is WHY you cannot blame them,a total shithole. they never talk about all these depressing ghetos you see in vegas just on the outskirts of them, all taken from a person going through the city of vegas.

If i wanted to get out of oakland,no way in hell would i go and move there were you have this you see once you get out of the main sity.

pretty sad and depressing place to want to live in. yuck, what a shithole. one shithole to a worse shithole. oakland at least has a beautiful ocean to look at.

Money talks, get over it. I grew up living on the A's and Raiders. Finley started selling players and I left the A's. I've been a Giant's fan ever since. I will die loving the Raiders. 2010, 2012, and 2014 were amazing for the Giant's, I didn't miss a single pitch in those Serie's.

So you are one of those I will follow the raiders to the moon fans huh? Another fake raider fan who has no loyalty to his city, doesn’t give a crap about an asshole owner who gives the thousands of loyal fans in his city the middle finger in the no fan loyalty league, does not care that this move devastaed the livelihoods of Oakland residents back when it first happened and is doing so again, cheers on a team thst violated all nfl agreements of relocation rules, nice heart you have there charlie.the nfl is a corrupt cartel as much as our government is and you cheer on a team with an evil demonic owner who did not give a shit about the livilhoods of Oakland residents.,nice heart you have there.

Man when the rams left LA,I rooted against them each week,I stayed loyal to the city,I don’t cheer on someone who gives me the middle finger.mark davis just like his dad is an evil motherfucker who will burn in hell alongside his dad who is there now.

I love San Diego residents, the majority of their fans want nothing to do with the chargers sense they left them.we know that because most fans filled out polls saying they would not support them anymore, they are true fans loyal to their city. ,loyal to their city. No reason to doubt that either sense as I proved, they have no fan support in LA.that Seems to be the case with oakland fans as well sense as I proved, they also have sixteen road games all year long,i tip my cap to the TRUE Raider fans, the OAKLAND fans not driving down there to cheer on thst phony fraud team.:yes_text12::thup:

who gives a flying fuck who shows up?....when i was in Anaheim there were lots of yankee and red sox fans who showed up to their games....you are as bout as stupid as you were talking about the fucking rams...

I grew up on the Oakland A's and Raiders in the 70s/80s, so it is sad to see, but understandable. The A's are treated like nobody wants or cares for them, in baseball in general or even in the Bay Area where the Giants get more attention, even though the A's have had great eras, particularly the early 70s with the rare World Series three-peat and the Tony LaRussa years, with a blip of interest during "BillyBall" (Billy Martin era). But attendance has never been good.

And the A's have been stuck with the monstrosity known Mount Davis, the last on the outdated multi-purposed round ballparks that everybody else has demolished and built better facilities.

Oh well. Thanks for the memories anyhoo.

Few people on this board (or off of it for that matter) oppose spending public monies for professional sports teams more than I do.

That being said, if any city needed to kick in a little to update it's digs for its professional sports clubs, it's the bay area. I haven't been to the new Giant's Stadium (I don't know what it is called)...but the Coliseum as well as Levi's field are atrocious. At least Candlestick had some charm.

Levi hasn't been there for ten years yet. Giants stadium maybe 20--but it never was intended to hold a lot of people.

Oh one last thing Harry Dresden i forgot to mention is not only did I prove with those links I posted thst the Raiders now have SIXTEEN road games all year long now sense they suffer the same fate the chargers do in LA of having the majority of the fans always be from the opposing teams which again is what accounts for all these 60,000 butts in the stadium you mentioned they average because of ticket brokers selling them to out of town tourists coming to see their team,I have seen with my own eyes how every game is a home team for the opposing team.every week I go down to my local bar resteraunt to watch the Rams games and they of course show the games of the other teams playing at the time and with both teams being on the west coast, many times raider games in Vegas are being shown the same time as the rams of course and their last two regular home games I believe were with the chiefs and niners,in BOTH those games,a sea of red DOMINATED the stadium everytime they showed the crowd, :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :auiqs.jpg: :laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301:

The Raiders have no home field advantage whatsoever, never will while they play in Vegas, the Raider brand is not big there.Vegas residents fir the most part will always consider them oaklands team.heck Vegas doesn’t even support the hockey team which is their own Team, not another city’s team, same thing, the crowds are always from the opposing teams, the Vegas experiment is blowing up in mark Davis’s ass.:laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301:

They had the kc chiefs on a prime time Monday night game a year ago,a team with the most exciting quarterback on the NFL and was in back to back superbowls and yet they STILL could get very few Raider fans in Vegas to show up to that game.thst is soooo pathetic that it was 90% chiefs fans.that never happened in Oakland,:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::laughing0301:

Mark davis is doing this right now every week when he sees no raider fans showing up to games each week with the opposing fans taking over the stadium.:206::206::206::206::206::206::206::206::206:

:abgg2q.jpg::iyfyus.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301::laughing0301:

Davis has fucked himself in the ass with this move to Vegas as spanos has as well with the move to LA.:laughing0301::abgg2q.jpg::iyfyus.jpg:

Vegas consists of transients from cold parts of the country, that have moved down there to retire, they are not going to abondon their teams in the city they grew up in to cheer on a team they will always consider to be oaklands team and again with ticket brokers selling in vast large amounts to out of town tourists who have come there to see their team, they will never have homefield advantage that they greatly enjoyed in oakland, mark davis has royally fucked himself in the ass and is an embarrassment to the city of Vegas.:auiqs.jpg::laughing0301::abgg2q.jpg:

They ever want to possibly have Vegas support a football team, they need to do as Houston did when they moved to tennesse rebranded changing the name from tennesse oilers to the titans and get rid of the raider name and invent thier own name.not sure if thst will even work though sense the hockey team invented their own name for the city and they have the same problem but at least Vegas fans consider thst team theirs though unlike the raiders,

One of the complaints on Levi's is they screwed up the placement of the stadium as for the sun. It is not near Frisco either.

We’re getting closer and closer to a Vegas baseball team — so (bleeping) cool.

Oakland Athletics ownership is headed back to Las Vegas on Feb. 1 as they continue their push for a possible relocation to Sin City, according to a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

A person with knowledge of the situation told the newspaper that A’s owner John Fisher and president Dave Kaval will be on the north Strip meeting with multiple resort operators.

In mid-January, I blogged about how the Athletics were interested in two different sites — the north Strip festival grounds and the Tropicana site on the south — where a flashy $1 billion retractable domed stadium would be built. And from the sounds of it back then, it appeared that the A’s were zoning in on the Tropicana after there weren’t any discussions for months between the franchise and Las Vegas Festival Grounds owner and casino tycoon Phil Ruffin

However, a person with knowledge of the situation reportedly said the 39-acre site is still in play as a possible location.

Can't blame them, Oakland is a sh*t hole.
Vegas is a sewer system once you get passed the strip
