No, not 'fauxrage'. IMO a President should leave any prosecutor engaged in on-going investigations in-place; however, I would put the prosecutor's replacement on the investigation with the existing one, as a Co-Prosecutor overseeing / running the case, following the lead of the current prosecutor. Once the case is over, the carry-over Prosecutor is let go. Again, I would do this no matter who the prosecutor is, who hired /appointed him, and no matter whatparty he or the President whoapointed him is / was.

If there is enough evidence to have an investigation and poterntial charges / indictments then there is no reason to jeopardize or stop the investigation.
