Bush Boards Luxury Bus To Campaign In Midwest - NYTimes.com

Jumping off at three stops from his new red, white and blue campaign bus, which was plastered on its gleaming side with the slogan ''Yes, America Can,''Mr. Bush fielded questions from a handpicked crowd at an ''Ask President Bush'' talk in Niles, and made fun of Senator John Kerry's family sport utility vehicles before a crowd of 5,000 in a hockey stadium here. Mr. Bush appeared at an enormous outdoor rally in suburban Detroit late in the day.

Campaign aides said Mr. Bush's bus had three rooms, including a kitchenette, as well as a flat-screen television, black leather sofas and chairs, and the presidential seal displayed on a back wall. Name cards were placed on the chairs this morning for Mr. Bush and the first lady, as well as for Karl Rove, Mr. Bush's chief political adviser.

What was our unemployment rate at the time?
Debt? Deficit in regards to GDP?

At least 2004 was an election year.

Did Bush claim that it *wasn't* a campaign bus?

But Bush isn't black and you know how racist white conservatives feel about blacks, minus the coons: Thomas, West, Sowell, Williams et al.

Well you're using the "he started it" defense.:D

Actually I'm not everyone knows the president has to travel to the 9's. Even I know that just because a president advocates green technology doesn't mean he can get rid of limos and Air Force 1

Bush didn't do this when the country was running up trillion dollar deficits and 9% were unemployed.

There's an empathy factor when someone has to worry about paying the light bill or the food bill sees a president spending a million bucks protecting a bus he's only going to use for a couple of weeks.

By that time Bush had run up $2.5 trillion debt increase and unemployment was touching 7%. Fuck empathy, there's no empathy in politics. Crush your enemies and win reelection. You fuckers were never going to vote for him anyway.

there's two buses; one for each candidate of the two major parties.

do you think they're going to put them on ebay next week?

the difference between bush and obama is...........nada.

have an enjoyable evening

So this thread isn't in response to the one about Obama's buses?? Come on....my point is, I don't know why you felt motivated to start it. Those entrenched in their respective camps are the only people who really give a shit about either one.

So your just an idiot that can't see the difference between a candidates Campaign Paying for it, or Tax Payers paying for it?

Or Maybe you don't see the difference between Lying and claiming it's not a campaign, and telling the truth and admitting it is a Campaign?

It's not a Bush did it also Defense. Bush didn't do what you are claiming half wit. Bush didn't use Tax Dollars to buy new Buses to go Campaign with, Bush didn't deny he was Campaigning.

Holy shit you assholes have no shame at all.

I don't care about Bush's bus, nor do I care about Obama's. We have more important issues to deal with right now.

Wow a Whole 2.5 Trillion in 8 Years eh? Terrible, I am so glad we elected Obama because he is clearly Much Better at running up the Debt that Bush ever was. I mean he has almost doubled the amount of Debt Bush added in 8 years, and he has done it in less than 3.

Fucking amazing, Dude should get an award.

Sure it's a response to that thread. But I Know that Willow hates anything Obama does even if its the same thing that others have done just because it's Obama. Ps your sig is hilarious.

When Bush stood for re-election, deficits were going down and unemployment was at 5.4%. And unemployment in the 2001-3 recession never got above 6.3%.

Obama's never been BELOW that number.

Obama's biggest problem right now is Obama. He's managed to make every possible state worse since he took over from Bush, and frankly, Bush hadn't exactly covered himself in glory.
