Reducing Chaos.

9. Where we were:

"Classical liberalism, the optimistic doctrine that gave us liberty, democracy, progress, was a moral project. It held that human society could always better itself by encouraging the good and diminishing the bad. It rested, therefore, on a very clear understanding that there was a higher cause than self-realization: that there were such things as right and wrong and that the former should be preferred over the latter.

But the belief that autonomous individuals had the right to make subjective judgment about what was right for them in pursuit of their unchallengeable entitlement to happiness destroyed that understanding. Progressives interpreted liberty as license, thus destroying the moral rules that make freedom a virtue."
Melanie Phillips

What happened:

" When morality became privatized, the questions “what is right” became “what is right for me.” Feelings... became the arbiters of behavior. Rather than traditional taboos, only religiously based moral judgment was deemed taboo. The harm caused to abandoned spouses or children by adultery or desertion- harm that can be objectively documented in rates of ill health, depression, educational underachievement, criminal behavior- was all but ignored, while damage done to people’s feelings by condemnation of their adultery or desertion was considered unforgiveable."
"The World Turned Upside Down," Melanie Phillips

Where we’ve come to:

“We’ve effectively thrown away the Bible as the basis for morality, law, justice, and truth. As a society, we now find ourselves wallowing in the incoherent pits of relativism without anything of any meaningful substance to grasp a hold of for stability.

Chaos reigns because relativism is an ideology of no boundaries.”

And here is a congregation of Militant Secularists performing the sacrament of chaos by arson.

8. It would be a terrible mistake to underestimate the force behind Militant Secularism, as it surely seems to have gathered more and more strength since the French Revolution and the Enlightenment. The promise of these was that not only did mankind no longer need God, but that man could himself become God.
We are not France.............and we will not drop our guns to the militants.........the police are there for their protection and not ours.

I fear you have a different view of America and Americans that is now, but a memory.
I hope I'm wrong, but I have given up on the idea of Republicans coming to America's rescue.
LOL

Not the GOP......just those who say NO.......we shall see........some may give them up.........some may give them their bullets first.

Earlier in this thread it was noted that second on the list of differences between the Judeo-Christian faith, and the Militant Secular faith, is that of peace, harmony, versus chaos, anarchy.

I should note that it is not only Militant Secularism that denies peace if their demands are not met.

"Karl Marx himself has stated that “The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism,” a sentiment that corresponds almost exactly to the Islamic idea that “peace” means the absence of opposition to Islamic rule.

Cultural Marxism — aka Political Correctness — and Islam share the same totalitarian outlook and instinctively agree in their opposition to free discussion, and in the idea that freedom of speech must be curtailed when it is “offensive” to certain groups."

Did you see the Democrat instigated rioters in Chicago today?

"In Italy, the rise of fascism followed World War I. And in Germany, the Nazis came to power just 15 years after the end of the Great War. Nazism conquered most of the European continent during WWII, and after Germany’s defeat in 1945, the Soviets imposed communism over all of Eastern Europe.

Though there were communists, communist fellow travelers, Nazi sympathizers, racists and anti-Semites in the United States, neither communism nor fascism nor Nazism took root here. The primary reason was that, unlike most Europeans, Americans did not lose their faith in Judeo-Christian religions and values or in America after World War I. America remained so religious that, in 1954, the words “under God” were inserted into the Pledge of Allegiance recited daily in American schools.

However, by the 1950s, faith in America, Christianity and what we call bourgeois middle-class values was largely limited to older Americans. The post-World War II baby-boomer generation was already being indoctrinated in secularism and anti-Americanism. As early as 1962, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that school prayer was unconstitutional."

“There was an announcement of the highest adultery level:

First place, Movie Stars;
second place, Theater Actors;
third place, the Democrat Party.

Someone from the DNC shouts: I’ve been in the party for thirty years and I never cheated on my wife!

Someone else shouts: It’s because of people like you that we’re in third place!”

It’s really comedy gold when you respond to your own “quotes” with “quotes” that you “quote” from earlier “quotes”

Entire posts where your ‘quotes” argue with earlier “quotes”.

Oh, snap.

I read that somewhere so I should ‘quote” it.

“Quote” “Oh, snap”. End “quote”.
