Record number of American concerned about Climate Change

“Science leaves no room for doubt: Climate change is the existential threat of our time,” NASA administrator Bill Nelson said in a news release. The year-after-year temperature highs for the planet “[underscore] the need for bold action to safeguard the future of our country – and all of humanity,” he said.
NASA’s scientists pointed clearly to the cause of the worsening climate crisis: “human activities that have increased emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.”

Yes, dumb fuck, climate has changed rapidly in the geological past. And when that happened, there were major and minor extinction events. Love it how you deniers can make one sentence nonsense statements and think that you have actually said something. When climate changes rapidly, there are causes and consequences. Today, we are the cause, and our descendants will suffer the consequences.

If even a single one of these predictions have ever been correct I might be inclined to somewhat entertain them, but the bottom line is they've been wrong repeatedly. Yes, the planet has been warming. Few people argue that, but you haven't convinced me nor millions of others that it is anything other than a natural planetary cycle nor can you conclusively prove it.

This is not good for the Deniers in the repub party. Weather extremes are gonna get worse as the years go on. But don't try to convince a repub.
What are we currently at? About 1c warmer and now 440ppm co2. So is 4c and 2,400ppm co2 bad?

Six in ten Americans? Not looking good for America.

As usual we have the gathering of the village idiots here, Dunning-Kruger convention, repeating the same old nonsense phrases, and completely ignoring reality. Over a thousand people dead in the Pacific Northwest heat wave, no big deal. Texas loses it's power due to a storm predicted a week in advance, due to inadequate maintenance of all aspects of their grid. Record number of tornadoes in December. Wild fires in December that destroyed farms, ranches, and homes in one state, and nearly 1000 home in another state. But no one ever predicted extreme weather events as part of what climate change caused by global warming would bring. No one ever predicted the rapid melting of mountain glaciers and the ice caps in Greenland and Antarctica. No one ever predicted the rapid shrinking of the sea ice in the summer in the Arctic Ocean. You silly bastard are such dumb liars.

Here's some facts you silly bastard.

What are we currently at? About 1c warmer and now 440ppm co2. A moment in the earth's history was 4c higher and 2,400ppm co2 when life flourished.

Are you going to deny that? Why do you deny earth's climate history?

And none of which you can prove has anything to do with us as opposed to being a natural planetary cycle. 10,000 years ago the Sahara Desert was a jungle that eventually dried up long before we knew what oil even was. Who are you going to blame for that?

I'm sure the oil companies are heavily invested in green technology and when oil and coal no longer are used, they'll be the ones controlling the battery, wind, solar and nuclear industries.
They already are. It's the utility companies that are investing in those huge wind and solar energy farms. They have even supported efforts to prohibit residential rooftop solar in some cities.

I'm concerned.

I just don't know what can be done about, leaving out some WWII sized effort.

If we switched from natural gas and coal to nuclear power, that would help a bit.

We really need China to do something since China is a huge producer of CO2. Much bigger than America.
Like they say, "If we each do a little, we can all do a lot."

The first thing we need to do is take better care of our physical health. This will improve our mental health as well. With better mental health we will be better able to deal with these problems.

Eventually, if they haven't already, they'll slowly shift from denying man made GW to trying to suggest they know best the way to deal with it. Because it's the corporate lobbyists of oil companies who tell the Republicans what to say about the science.

Once they can't deny it, they'll say it shouldn't be the corporate pollutors who have to pay for going green. It'll get passed on to the consumers. Yada yada.

Some of them will admit it's real but say there is nothing we can do about it.
Within 30 years everything you believe about man made global warming will be proven wrong by colder temperatures.

We are in the middle of an ice age.

They will change their tune...eventually. Just like the dangers of tobacco. They realized they were in the wrong on that.

But it may be too late for the planet when they do. Weather extremes are causing worldwide deaths. But even when they change their tune...they will blame something other than fossil fuels. Gotta protect their petroleum masters.

They are captive to Ignorance...

Relax. We are in an interglacial cycle.

7 degrees here this morning. I let the SUV idle in the driveway for an hour, no heatwave

The only solution is for the USA to destroy our economy and allow the AGW CCP Masters to continue to emit record levels of CO2, cuz science!

Even if it's true, six out of ten people who believe that American decadence is responsible for climate change must come as devastating news to the socialist left after almost 20 years of non stop propaganda. The statistics are more like 2 in ten but lefties never have a nice day.

Another misleading pile of warmist/alarmist crap since you posted a SINGLE concern poll which makes it automatically the #1 concern, how stupid can you be?

Here are polls using MULTIPLE Concerns that makes it clear Climate change is near or at the bottom of the list of concern by the respondents:

Climate Change Not a Top Worry in U.S.

Polls constantly show global warming/climate change are a bottom dweller concern, this was posted several times here.

Deficit Reduction Declines as Policy Priority Next to the bottom of the list

Americans Show Low Levels of Concern on Global Warming Bottom two on the list of environmental concerns

Environmental Ratings, Global Warming Concern, Flat in 2020

But here's the thing....

Voters don't give a fuck about climate change as a concern. It's waaaaaaaay down the list.
Check any PEW poll in the last 10 years. It's laughable. And it's the only thing that matters, btw....means the science isn't mattering for dick. :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:
