Too many on the left have no idea how economics work. Most can't even balance a checkbook.
Once you artificially raise a wage it is not just the wage that is raised payroll taxes for that individual are raised. Any type of benefits are also raised. That means the employer has to somehow raise costs or find a way to increase their share of profit, often by shedding help.

Unfortunately the left is under the impression that most owners and companies are making money hand over fist and can easily afford to absorb wage increases. Not realizing that most if not all are making only pennies on the dollar
