USMB members,

The Health/Lifestyle forum is the correct place to post a thread relating to homosexuality and its related topics, i.e. its nature, its practice, gay marriage, etc. If you start a homosexuality thread elsewhere on the forum, it very well may end up here. The reason for this is twofold: first, it keeps the other forums open for other topics, instead of being overrun by "gay" threads; second, it allows people to post arguments in existing threads instead of creating new threads for old arguments.

On behalf of the USMB mods,
Jeff

Sounds very good to me, a forum I only have to visit if someone complains.

So in other words, you're completely denying the political nature of certain gay issues?

Health and Lifestyle. What a comfortable place. Isn't gayness a stylish issue at this point? What about health? Yeah, what about it? Are there any psychiatrists in the house?

How can you take homosexuality out of the religion section? The connection between the two in political discussion is too strong to relegate it to this section only.

Interesting move and one that demonstrates narrow mindedness. Poor gays, back in the closet again and this time under the pretense that somehow debating complicated issues that touch on who we are as people, how we relate to each, and how ideas interact in the political climate of 21th century America are really about health !!!!

I'm really not seeing your point. One, this thread was posted two board owners ago. The policy in the thread is not necessarily the viewpoint of the current owner, nor staff.

However, the purpose of moving threads was not/is not an infringement on the rights of those who wish to speak, and it is rather narrow-minded, IMO, to view it as such.

The purpose for forums and subforums is to keep some semblance of order on the board, and to make it easier for people to find discussions they are interested in as opposed to searching one, huge forum for specific topics.

I will also point out, that currently, I am *the* thread mover and quite liberal in what I allow to stay where. I usually only move the obvious stuff, for the reasons previously detailed.
