The reason that robinson and the other trash are not interested is that the perps were not "darkies".

As an eductaed adult I can read that report and feel revulsion. But I also understand that not all catholic priests, let alone catholics, are predators. Its just a tiny minority.

In these cases, money solves nothing. It is, in fact, an attempt to enrich oneself solely for the purpose of enrichment.

How "just" is it to take money from innocent Believers and insurance companies in order to enrich victims who have suffered no economic harm? (The perpetrators are generally "judgment proof").

How much of this whole mess is anti-Catholic bigotry and hate, masquerading as moral outrage?

From what I can see its pretty much some individuals in the church abusing their power. That can happen in any religion or institution. The anger may stem from the way that the church has dealt with it. The catholic church is not a victim here.

Among every hundred men who choose to work with kids, there are 4 or 5, on average, who are in it to sexually victimize the kids. It would be nice if one could say that the Church is better at weeding them out, but one must never forget that the perps take great pains NOT to be weeded out.

The pity of the church's actions is that they (we) are the victims of our own belief. To wit, we believe that sinners can, by the grace of God, commit to "sin no more," and amend their lives. Thus, when an offender confesses his sins to the Bishop and makes a "good Act of Contrition," in the Bishop's mind the problem is solved.

IN NO CASE does any Bishop re-assign a priest with the expectation that the behavior will be repeated. EVERY SI GLE TIME, even against all logic, the Bishop believes that the conduct will not recur.

It was only after decades of failure that the Church finally got the message that this behavior never stops until opportunity is permanently removed.

Homosexuality has nothing to do with it; nor does celibacy.

What differentiates these cases from all the very widespread Islamic rape, however, is that these men are part of the culture in which they live , seek out children because they are not allowed normal sexual relations, and are not following the dictates of their religion.

In the case of Muslims, they represent an alien culture and they ARE following both the example and the instructions of the murderous warlord they follow, while the rapes have to do with their sense of contempt for the culture of the lands they have invaded.
