Japan's Navy was a lot better than the UKs.......UK was using the Swordfish.....etc

Better by far...Japan understood that the future was air power and built the navy accordingly.

The bad news was Midway.

Obviously the U.S. was Number One in all categories. We nor only produced a logistical miracle re getting our own troops to both Europe and Japan, we kept the Brits and Soviets in the war, while fighting on three fronts of our own. This shows both excellent leadership and extraordinary military organization, matched by no one in history, not even the Romans or the Mongols were comparable.

Oh do show how great the Germany Army was, when it lost its war by 1943. Having some well trained individual units doesn't mean shit in modern warfare, it's who can deliver the most forepower in the shortest time and all the silly elite commando stuff means zilch. We put trained pilots and crews in thousands of planes, put thousands of sailors on the seas, etc., while Germans were hauling artillery with donkeys; 'good equipment' my ass. Japan was so brilliant they put almost their entire labor force of trained oil refiners on two ships, some 1,000 men, and a U.S. sub sunk one of them with 800 of them on board. Sound like 'The Best' at work to anybody here?

The thousands of airmen put into bombers over occupied Europe were cannon fodder....Monuments to Hap Arnold's arrogance.

Murica had advantages of resources, logistics, and industrial might...And, most of all, isolation from the battle fronts.....That's how the war was won in that end.
