Although I appreciate Trump's efforts to stave off socialism, and agree with most of his policies, our economic indicators aren't looking so good...

Union Pacific : Current Carloadings - Week 40 | MarketScreener

They say so goes the railroads, so goes the economy.
Many railroads are suffering 10% less carloads than the same time last year.
Massive layoffs and restructuring are occurring as we speak.
Unless something happens to reverse these trends, our economy will continue to plummet.

If China ever comes clean and the trade deal goes through, you will see plenty of carloads...Patience is a virtue.

I hope you're right.

Gee, thanks for coming around to the all too obvious fact that the economy is sluggish with only anecdotal evidence of improvement.

Our trade deficit with China; the nation we’ve targeted with tariffs…has grown. Our exports to them has shrunk.

Ah, gee, thanks for the unneeded sarcasm. I have never stated that the economy was in a glorious state due to Trump.

Patience is an affliction and hope is delusion.

So all those that voted for Hope and Change, were all delusional? Thank you for pointing that out.

I just did a Google and Bing search and can find nothing about this.

Do you have a link beyond the one you gave us that explains it?

Good. It means no credit bubble fueling yet another bubble, and our trade deficit will shrink some more. I know people got used to ignoring the trade deficit and pretending it didn't exist, but it does and it's far more damaging than deficits and massive illegal immigration combined. A long period of deflation is needed.
