For Asian Americans a changing landscape on college admissions - LA Times

African Americans received a “bonus” of 230 points, Lee says.

She points to the second column.

“Hispanics received a bonus of 185 points.”

The last column draws gasps.

Asian Americans, Lee says, are penalized by 50 points — in other words, they had to do that much better to win admission.

Princeton University subtracts 50 points from SAT Scores of Asians on their admission application, is this Racism or Reverse-Racism?

oh bro I'm extremely pissed off

That is not 'reverse racism.' The term is asinine.

That is outright racism - judging people based on the color of their skin and not of the content of their character.

This statement draws 'gasps' while the others do not because?

Can you explain the functional difference between awarding 50 points or subtracting them?

They ALL should have drawn gasps.

you need to think outside the box and see true equality can only be achieved with inequality

What does that have to do with what that video presented.

The artist seemed upset about school and exams but I notice that there is noting about what to replace them with. Just anger that performance matters. It is asinine to be upset that performance is measured and matters.

Think it's called 'norming.' Usually see it in the military for gender norming (if they still do that.)

That a university does it isn't that it's racist so much as them trying to maintain an ethnicly diverse student body. Because Asians are better at academics, without the penalty, over time your school would be mostly Asian.

Asian countries and cultures emphasize academics to the point of irrationality. You can't expect Americans of any ethnicity to compete equally with countries where people commit suicide over substandard test scores, get killed by automatic gates for being late to school, and other dystopian type things.

Without the norming, schools would be entirely Asian imports with no locals present at all.

So, now basing filling position on race is NOT racism anymore. Who would have thought...

It is funny though that you claim that no one can compete - guess what? That does not change in the real world either when such asinine forcing of race in positions is no longer present. The reality is that we can compete but instead we ask politicians to do it for us.
