Do you think Trump snuck back into the white house after Biden was sworn in and took the stuff? If not then the simple fact remains that as President ANYTHING he wants can be declassified and all it takes is him to say so. No paper work no stamps just him saying it. So unless he snuck in after Biden was sworn in and took it then EVERYTHING he has and had was unclassified by the simple act of him taking it.

All those papers belong to the American people, and are not his personal property. Doesn't even matter what the papers are.

That's what I keep laughing about!

They really think that after Biden was sworn in, Trump went into the Oval office with a dolly and empty printer paper boxes and said, "just a few personal items, boys, and I'll be out of your way?"

If Trump declassifies information and nobody knows about it, has it been declassified?

Is Trump now claiming that the documents in his possession can be turned over to our enemies?

Papers? The Clintons literally stole historical furniture and items from the White House when they moved out. There were no criminal charges. After they were caught there was a back and forth between lawyers, and the Clintons eventually returned the stuff that they stole that CLEARLY didnt belong to them.

...but if Trump takes some papers home, as all presidents seem to do, he gets raided by the FBI in the middle of his legal negotiations over them? And you expect us NOT to get pissed off? Heads will roll for this, all of whom will be democrats.

You believe in globalism and the United States blended into it. I do not and am apprehensive. Government payouts are replacing or subsidizing wages and income from production.

This is like when Trump was shot down in the courts for not overturning Obama's EO's in a legal manner. Trump could never be convinced he had to do things a legal way, Trump believes he can do whatever he wants.

It's why Biden was able to overturn Trump's border EO's. They were done in a legal manner.

While a president can declassify information he can't simply say "This is no longer classified". There is a legal procedure he must take, president or not. If that procedure had been done it would all be on record and I'm pretty sure since we are talking Trump, it is not.

Did that address your question?

That "stuff" isn't his. It belongs to the United States.

And there is a process for possessing or viewing TCSI documents. Even for the President. No he can't just say so. Doesn't work that way. And if you think it does, you don't have a clue how any of it works.

Trump is guilty of multiple felonies. What comes out of his mouth is irrellevant.

Trump looks at classified information as an annoyance
He doesn’t want to be bothered with all the safeguards

So he thinks he can just declassify the document he is holding and not have to worry about the nationwide implications

/-----/ Ever hear of Presidential Libraries? Presidential Libraries and Museums of the National Archives
Presidential Libraries and Museums are repositories for the papers, records and historical materials of the Presidents. We work to ensure that these irreplaceable items are preserved and made available for the widest possible use by researchers.

Actually, Trump had from the day he lost the election to start packing his belongings

If he wanted to take Top Secret information with him, there are security protocols to be followed and a secure facility must be available.

Trump didn’t do that and now he is being held accountable.

Did you know that Obama left out shitloads of documents that were supposed to go to HIS library? Did you know that of the documents he did give them, it was all digital? Where the original copies are is a mystery.

As president he could BUT it still had to be done in the proper manner.

He must submit paperwork. That paperwork must be reviewed. The reviewer can offer an opinion that differs from the presidents where the president will be presented with this side. The president can over rule the dissenting opinion but obviously this is not something that can happen as he walks out the door with the papers.

In that process the paperwork gets marked as declassified. Trump is saying, they just didn't get around to that. LOL.

No, it was Trump that didn't get around to doing what he was supposed to because no one is going to tell Trump anything.

When it finally dawned on Donald Trump in the twilight of his presidency that he wouldn’t be living at the White House for another four years, he had a problem: He had barely packed and had to move out quickly.

West Wing aides and government movers frantically tossed documents and other items into banker boxes that were shipped to a storage room at his Mar-a-Lago club

And by the same token Biden could have REclassified them simply by referring to them as classified

Oh and regardless of whether they were classified...it was illegal for him to have them as per the PRA

Oh and mishandling national defense docs is a crime regardless of classification
