question for older NFL fans about terry bradshaw

Bradshaw called his own plays and has 4 (four) Superbowl wins. Name another quarterback who did the same!

Bradshaw was great.
Brady has six wins and played in nine Superbowls
Did you miss the part where he states, “called his own plays?”

Different game.
QBs still call their own plays. Never saw a play Peyton Manning didn’t audible out of
Omaha, OMAHA
Means nothing. The poster made the exception that Bradshaw called his own plays.

Sammy Baugh called his own plays, played Defense and Punted
Does that make him the GOAT?

Look at his stats. He was a very mediocre quarterback surrounded by phenomenal superstars and great coaching.

14 years, 212 TD/210 Int/27,000 yards passing/QB Rtg 70.9

VERY mediocre, and if you look at many of his years...he was down right poor.
However...he managed games and won a lot of big games through good game management.

Running the ball was the core.
True...but he had guys like Lynn Swann and John Stallworth for much of his career. It was not like he had not weapons down field. Bradshaw was a very average asset.

The game was much simpler then. In many respects it was a completely different game. I mean look at that line...what are those guys...200 lbs maybe? Speed, size, complexity of scheme, just a different game.

Bradshaw, Lynn Swann and Franco were overshadowed by the Steel Curtain defense which was possibly the best of all time.
The Bears defense from the mid to late 80's was quite impressive, as well. The Bears '85 defense is possibly THE best defense for a season. But the Steelers defense WAS great for more years than the Bears.
The 85 Bears team was insane. They were so good, they made their own music video instead of practicing and still destroyed the Patriots.
Dayum, how did I miss this useless comment by jitler...

Oh wait...

When you watch the films it looks almost comical
