Question For John Atheist: Don't You Want To Remember Your Good Deeds Forever?

JAG Writes:
~ Regarding John Atheist ~
~ Introductory Remarks ~

John Atheist,
You do desire to live a heroic life and to be remembered
for your good deeds, don't you? I think you do.
You have lived your life to help others, haven't you? Yes,
you most likely have.
You have lived by the Golden Rule that says do unto
others as you would have them do unto you, haven't
you? Yes, you probably have lived that way.
But on your atheism let us assume that you die and
cease to exist forever --- here is a short piece I wrote
about this atheistic cease-to-exist sadness.

A Monument To John Atheist
by JAG
Let us say that your risked your life to save 3000 people that
were stranded in a dangerous storm and in so doing you lost
a leg, but you were successful in rescuing them and the "powers
that be" gave you a medal for your heroic action and later a
grateful nation erected a statue of John Atheist and it stood
for 500 years.

That would matter to YOU in the short term, but not in the
long term. On your atheism there would come a time when
John Atheist ceased to exist -- and became this 00000

If John Atheist does Cease-To-Exist, then in the long
term it would not matter to YOU that you had acted
heroically to save the lives of other human beings.

If some humans remembered you for 5000 years it would
NOT matter to YOU because you Ceased-To-Exist and
had become this 00000.

So what point am I making? Answer: You need spiritual
tools to arrive at what really matters.
John 3:16
{1) believe and get Eternal Life
{2} refuse to believe and "perish"

John Atheist now has Eternal Life , , , ,

Here on this spiritual ground your heroic action would
matter for all Eternity. It would be FOREVER in your mind
that you had performed a noble heroic action that helped
other people at great cost to you. It would be known by untold
billions of human beings who were sharing Eternal Life with you.
It would matter to YOU and to THEM . . . FOREVER.

Now why on Earth, would that NOT appeal to you?
Why would you NOT desire to be known forever.
And remembered forever by large numbers of
people that YOU had personally helped by living a
noble heroic life?

Why does it not make you very sad to think that all
your past noble heroic acts will be reduced to 00000
and will never be remembered by you?

JAG
We don't think it's an option for anyone. The flip side is we don't have to worry about going to hell either.
there is no hell--so no one has to worry about that
hahahahahhahaha
How do you know? Who informed you? What will be the ramifications if you are wrong?
What if you are wrong? What if you will suffer, because you believe in the wrong god?
The Wrong GOD? Do you refer to the gods of the Mormons? The god of the Koran? The godless Buddhists? The many animal gods of the Hindi, or one's ancestor worship? Please elaborate...

So, if you die and life ends and there is no eternity, why would anyone care?
By not being able to immediately think of about 100 answers, you expose your own mental and moral problems. Not anyone else's.
There is no morality without GOD, only personal opinion and desire. Plus, the highest suicide rate is (a mental barometer) shamefully among those with no religious affiliation ------ that would be atheists and agnostics...
Is this the same God who wiped out just about every man, women, child, and animal in a flood? The God to order Israelites to invade foreign countries, commit genocide, and make slaves of their enemies? The God that punishes the innocent?
This is the very same GOD who knows all about everything and even all about you. When Sodom and Gomorrah and the other cities of the plain were to be annihilated, Abraham had a conversation with GOD in which he got GOD to promise that HE would not destroy those cites if there were at least 10 righteous people living somewhere in that mess. Guess what, there were not and so HE did. The fact is ----- if all the righteous people today were to die off, the rest of the population would be in deep deep trouble, because GOD knows. GOD doesn't punish innocent people. For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD. A righteous person isn't without sin; however, the righteous person has faith in GOD and not himself or his possessions and abilities. It's called being humble. There are not many people like that today, most have far too much garbage on their mind to care...
GOD doesn't punish innocent people? You think that in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah there were no babies or children?
Is death a punishment?

Why do you read these accounts literally?
Someone wrote these accounts that have made it into scripture. Historical or not they represent the morality of the Bible.

And yes, I consider death a punishment and I believe the Bible does too. You don't stone an adulterer to death as a reward.
Then you must believe that everyone is going to be punished because everyone dies.

You read the bible to confirm your bias. That's reality. So you and I will likely never agree on what the meaning of passages are because you read the Bible like a jackass.
Everyone dies because everyone sins on account of ADAM/EVE. Only the MESSIAH/CHRIST gave up HIS life to save those which are lost. HE was without sin. You should not make judgments based upon your personal opinion and not biblically founded." Found in Matthew 5:22 ------- And anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Everyone dies because that is the nature of material beings.

The Wrong GOD?
Any god you can imagine.

So, what happens if you believe in the wrong god, and you suffer for eternity for it? Gods can be very vain, I hear.
The is no other god who is as scientific as the GOD of the Bible. There is no other book apart from the Bible that has revealed prophecy that has come to pass, presently is being revealed, and is coming about --- setting amazing precedent.

*by virtue of being material. Then they are "immaterial". Right?
Not exactly. It is the nature of material beings to die because they are material. The material cannot be eternal. The immaterial is the source of the material.
It is NOW natural for the material to decay because of Satan's rebellion and the FALL of MAN. Such was apparently not always the case. ROMANS 5:2 Because of this, even as through one man the sin did enter into the world, and through the sin the death; and thus to all men the death did pass through, for that all did sin;

The is no other god who is as scientific as the GOD of the Bible. There is no other book apart from the Bible that has revealed prophecy that has come to pass, presently is being revealed, and is coming about --- setting amazing precedent.
And what if you are wrong, and you will suffer for eternity because you believed in the wrong god?
The Bible would have to be wrong. Jesus would have to be wrong. The prophets of the Old Testament would have to be wrong. And frankly, you have no way of proving you are right; however, I have the Bible, JESUS, the prophets, Israel's very existence, answered prayers, and the changed lives my fellow believers (both present and historic); as well as, ever increasing collaborating archaeological and scientific data, plus the ever eye opening daily events that are the birth pains of the coming of the Anti-Christ and a one world government...

The Bible would have to be wrong.
Correct! So, what if all that and you are wrong, and you suffer for eternity for believing in the wrong god?
All I can say to you is what has already been said in
1 Corinthians 15
The Resurrection of Christ
1Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm. 2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5and that He appeared to Cephasa and then to the Twelve. 6After that, He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8And last of all He appeared to me also, as to one of untimely birth.
9For I am the least of the apostles and am unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me was not in vain. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. 11Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.
The Resurrection of the Dead
12But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is worthless, and so is your faith. 15In that case, we are also exposed as false witnesses about God. For we have testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead, but He did not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised.
16For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19If our hope in Christ is for this life alone, we are to be pitied more than all men.
The Order of Resurrection
20But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. 22For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then at His coming, those who belong to Him.
24Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. 25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For “God has put everything under His feet.” Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him. 28And when all things have been subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be made subject to Him who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all.
29If these things are not so, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them? 30And why do we endanger ourselves every hour? 31 I face death every day, brothers, as surely as I boast about you in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32 If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus for human motives, what did I gain? If the dead are not raised,
“Let us eat and drink,
for tomorrow we die.”c
33Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”d 34Sober up as you ought, and stop sinning; for some of you are ignorant of God. I say this to your shame.
The Resurrection Body
35But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36You fool! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37And what you sow is not the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or something else. 38But God gives it a body as He has designed, and to each kind of seed He gives its own body.
39Not all flesh is the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another, and fish another. 40There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But the splendor of the heavenly bodies is of one degree, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is of another. 41The sun has one degree of splendor, the moon another, and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.
42So will it be with the resurrection of the dead: What is sown is perishable; it is raised imperishable. 43It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;”e the last Adam a life-giving spirit.
46The spiritual, however, was not first, but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. 48As was the earthly man, so also are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly man.
Where, O Death, Is Your Victory?
(Hosea 13:9-14)
50Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
51Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For the perishable must be clothedf with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.
54When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality,g then the saying that is written will come to pass: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”h
55“Where, O Death, is your victory?
Where, O Death, is your sting?”i
56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable. Always excel in the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Is this the same God who wiped out just about every man, women, child, and animal in a flood? The God to order Israelites to invade foreign countries, commit genocide, and make slaves of their enemies? The God that punishes the innocent?
Yep. The same god that brought us the morality of the Dark Ages. You know, when women were property, brown people were slaves, heretics were murdered, etc.

Of course, our morality only improved once christianity was reformed by superior, secular ideas.

So this thread is a joke.
Hillarious-----------but whites enslaving others did not start out because of skin color--------it started out based on their religion. Whites justified slavery as a way to save the soul of the non-believers which then morphed into if the person being enslaved came from an area that wasn't naturally christian---then focused on skin color. They don't teach or talk much about how slavery really started but it was tolerated as a way to spread christianity for the christians much like the muslims use religion to justify enslaving infidels.

I believe that's always been the case. Original sin isn't disobeying God. Original sin is failing to be accountable when one disobeys God.

Do you have any proof of this?
