Russia appears eager to declare a ceasefire in Ukraine before their invading forces suffer any new losses, but the military setbacks that inspired that intention could thwart his aim.
“Russians will be happy to have negotiations, and they will be very happy to fix the lines where they are standing now,” a senior European official based in Poland told the Washington Examiner. “So at this moment I don't see any serious reason why Ukrainians should be interested.”

Clearly, the Ukrainians are not interested.

With cost of “black gold” at 15-23 dollars per barrel, the USSR economy collapsed, and the sovok itself collapsed, and the "golden" horde ("russia") budget can only be fulfilled only with oil price at $ 42.4 and higher

"Position of weakness"?

Look at the fucking map. How much of Russia's territory has Ukraine captured?

Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Not a square nanometer.

How much fossil fuel is Ukraine exporting?

Zero. Zip. Nada. Nothing.

Any attempt at peace talks coming from Putin is dangerous to America's war against Russia.

The rest of the world's priority is in peace before the nuclear shit hits the fan.

America want the Donbass and the Crimea and is so far at least intent on getting all of it.

Anyone that thinks Ukrainian forces are going to defeat the Russian army and win the war is seriously deluded. ... :cuckoo:
That is, the Ukraine with unlimited US supplied weapons and hundreds of foreign fighters posing as mercenaries under no flag. Now there's a fight that is hard to predict.

The only prediction I'll make is that Russia won't be defeated without going nuclear.

Ukraine isn't and wasn't going to capture any Russian territory, you clueless loon. Ukraine wages a defensive war.

Then why is Ukraine attacking and occupying Kherson, an oblast of the Russian Federation?

FYI: The people of Kherson voted to secede from Ukraine and join the Russian Federation.

Exactly why is the U.S. so intent on waging a proxy war against Russia?
Russia isn't a threat to America..
Russia isn't at our border about to invade us.
Russia isn't supplying countries close to us with weapons.
Russia hasn't stolen anything from the U.S.
Yet, we are giving away Billions to other countries to fight Russia. ... :cuckoo:

Maybe they can take another vote....after the Russians are gone?

How many regions in Russia would like to vote on leaving the Russian Federation?

So in other words, the Ukraines are just as bad as the Russians and if the Russians aren't attacking them, they want to attack Russia and keep the killing going on rather than welcome peace? Maybe Putin was right and the wrong bad guys are fighting here?

I don't know. But Kherson wouldn't be one of them.

Kherson is a part of Ukraine. Try to shove this simple fact in your hollow head.
Just saying it's a fact doesn't make it a fact. The people in Kherson held a referendum ad overwhelmingly voted to secede from Ukraine.

It wasn't even close.

It's not like it was a 48% to 52% vote or something like that. It was more like 80-90% in favor of seceding IIRC.

Do you even comprehend why so many people voted to secede from Ukraine? I think you don't have a fucking clue.
