Putin Says Muscovite Orthodoxy ‘Closer to Islam than Catholicism (Protestantism) Is’ first time i am 120% agree with Vova Poogabe , Muscovite Orthodoxy is literally an Islamic sect , until 18c Muscovy (Tartary) was an Islamic state . great that Muscovy returns to its islamic roots

In what way is it an islamic sect?
"In what way is it an islamic sect?"
in many ways, 1) did you know that Muscovite church was the nestorian (semi - Islamic one) one at the begging thats why it was not recognized by Rome (eastern ) for more then 100 years , R. was bribed by Muscovites and forced by Ottoman sultans to this illegal recognition . 2) the majority of Muscovites have been in the same time Muslims and nestorians/Orthodoxies for many 100 years, ask our Bulgarian member he will tell you how it worked in Bulgaria

Islam and Orthodox Christianity are nothing alike. Only an extremely ignorant person would think otherwise. If Putin really said this, he must think people are stupid.

" mufti suggests that Islam bears a close resemblance to the Orthodox Christian theological tradition, although he does not further elaborate on this. For instance, Gainutdin uses the Arabic word Allāh‎ [455] interchangeably with Church-Slavonic concepts, such as Bog [35] (God), Gospod’ [56] (Lord), Tvorets [41] and Sozdatel’ [34] (Creator). Interestingly, the word Vsevyshnii [231] (Exalted), which in Soviet dictionaries was still regarded as part of the Church lexicon, has been completely forced into the Islamic discourse, since ROC spokesmen barely use it today. In what way do Nestorianism have something in common with Islam? Do you get the fact that idea of God's oneness as it percieved in Islam entirely contradicts the conception of the son of God as it is implied by Christians?

If you read your links more thoroughly and didn't pick up the passages which were more suited for you, then you would know that there is nothing there that specifically refers to 'Moscow' Orthodox church.

Except of that, make up your mind at first when you are trying to write something. In one post you say that the Moscow Orthodox is a sect of Islam, then you write that Islam is descended from Nestorianism (to which you include the ROC).

If we speak about Nestorianism, then you should mention the Church of the East first. The Syriac Christians indeed made great contributions in Islamic civilization.

Do you even know what Nestorianism is? Can you explain it by your own words?
