The workers need to control the means of production! Management has used the sweat of the worker to unjustly enrich themselves!!

"Unionized New York Times staffers plan a short walkout on Monday afternoon, reported Katherine Fung at the Huffington Post. The staffers, members of the Newspaper Guild of New York, will meet up and collectively walk outside of the new but iconic New York Times building in Manhattan to protest management’s position on contract negotiations."

You mean just because newspaper sales are down and they are scheming to try and stay profitable, they actually don't want to give giant raises? What the hell can they be thinking?

And least it will be a short walkout and hopefully OWS won't get involved. This whole thing stinks enough as it is.

Let's face it, those workers really earn their wages. It would be one thing if they merely had to investigate and report facts. But, their job is so much more complicated because they have to re-invent the news on a daily basis and I don't think that is an easy task.

The paper might as well cough up the hush money, er, I mean the raise in salaries.

While we in the elite towers of journalism here at The New York Times do support the Company's unionized employees in principle, as a matter of practicality our issue with them in this case is that they are not necessarily, in an obfuscating way, adroit in the perambulations of reconsideration of certain wayward theoretical underpinnings of the dialectic between the rights of workers to work, qua work, and the justifiable properly circumscribed and non-obligatory albeit legal, legitimate, merited, moral, proper, requisite, righteous, rightful, scrupulous, stand-up, suitable "rights," in the narrower sense of generalized responsibility and interdependence, we must nevertheless play our own role in the eternal struggle between the worker and management.

Accordingly, we will BUST that damn union.

Liberally speaking.

Why don't the writers takeover the NY Times?

Obama can help them like helped the UAW, the NY Times stock and bond holders get what they deserve according to Obamarxist Philosophy: nothing, and the workers control the means of production

No kidding, they're just greedy, no 8 week vacations, extremely high pay.....God they are EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do Liberals support a Newspaper that's so vile and evil to the working class?

How many liberals have cancelled their subscription to the Times over their unfair treatment of the working class?
