Back in the Fire discussions the leftist here played the PG & E is the Devil and responsible for the wildfires...........Even when California wouldn't let them have larger Right of Way clearance for trees to power lines in High Winds............

In the End California sued them for the Fires.........Created new laws to have them shut down the grid to avoid fires in High Winds........then Sued them for shutting down the power.

In the end..............What that has taken place is that PG & E was given the choice of GET BEAT BY A STICK ..............Option A................or GET BEAT BY A STICK Option B.

And I stated...........that the whole purpose of the State was to SEIZE PG & E and take over the grid........for the people's own good.........LOL

Now this.

The governor’s position appears encouraging to the coalition of Northern California cities that announced in early November that they were working together to craft a plan take over PG&E operations. Those cities: San Jose, Oakland, Berkeley, Sacramento, Hayward, Sunnyvale, Richmond, Redwood City, Petaluma, Sonoma, Windsor, Cotati, Elk Grove, Clovis, Chico, Redding, Davis, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley and San Luis Obispo. Supervisors from San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Marin, Yolo and San Benito counties also endorsed the effort. The coalition includes local governments with about one-third of PG&E’s 16 million customers in the utility’s 70,000-square-mile service area.

Pretty sure there's no law about shutting off power.

Good stuff. I hate PG&E. They are so full of shit. Public utilities should be owned by the city, state, or federal government.
Its understandable that companies burdened with tons of ridiculous government regulation would perform poorly enough to be hated....

I was right back then...............and it continues.................... Sue them til Bankruptcy................then TAKE THE UTILITY.........

It is now in motion...............This is what the Dems wanted...............to blame PG & E for the fires was crazy to begin with..............Power lines can't take hits from trees at hurricane force winds and not be damaged...............The last ditch effort of PG & E was to clear 30 feet......and of course the politicians fought that as well...................Because that was never what they wanted.

Will California own their own utility by the end of the year..........Guess we will see.........they are sure as hell positioning themselves to do that.

In regards to the power lines starting fires after that...........will CHANGE NOTHING.

They have been given free reign here in CA and they have zero to little competition. They have hiked their prices every fucking year. Pretty sure they are probably pure profit by now.

California power outage: PG&E stuck in 'position of their own making'

SAN FRANCISCO – In cutting power to more than 2 million California residents Wednesday, Pacific Gas and Electric once again earned the wrath of citizens and politicians alike.

But, others note, the utility company was damned if it did, and damned if it didn’t go with the extreme measure, enacted in an effort to avoid once again sparking wildfires as fierce winds kicked up around the state.

They got sued I think last year and now they cut off the power whenever the wind blows. To top it all off they are recouping their losses by hiking prices.

You folks that are so hot on nationalizing infrastructure should check out those socialist countries you LOATH that have already done so.....

No they haven't...do you know that PG&E is mandated by the nuts in Sacramento to be 90% green by 2030?...do you know that when PG&E was trying to replace faulty lines that they were ordered to change out all of their vehicles to run on bio fuels?....every time PG&E turns around they face a new mandate from California....you try and run a business under those conditions....and see how hated you are....

They’d have to, to be able to pay every time the state sues them over their own stinking regulations, keeping them from being able to operate as safely as they can.

Not sure how changing out their vehicles had anything to do with replacing faulty lines. What kind of retarded excuse is that?

PG&E Clearcuts Power Lines

4 foot and PG & E wanting 30 foot.

Of course here is the Sierra club bitching about it.......and of course they aren't allowed to do it.

Then the winds go to 70mph plus and smack the power lines.........

And then some are damaged causing SPARKS............DUH........and fires.

So they can bitch about the fires tomorrow.........

This has been a set up to TAKE THE UTILITY FROM DAY ONE.

Theres nothing keeping them from operating safely except maybe their laziness which is why they were sued and lost.

That says the regulators voted in favor of PG&E's plan. No laws.

Socializing the power company? Good idea. Worked so well for Venezuela.

Why It's So Hard to Restart Venezuela's Power Grid

Left-wingers couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag. Can't wait till they take over health care.

If they were smart they would run them underground in areas where there is a fire danger.
