Prop gun fired by Alex Baldwin on movie set loaded with ‘a live single round’, says Hollywood union

Ban all movies too! Except for porn movies, those are the only ones that are safe To make.

Anyone who points a weapon at another person and pulls the trigger without first confirming what loads are in the weapon is guilty of negligent homicide.

That's what the armorer is for. They are supposed to secure the weapons, double and triple check them, then take them to the set.

An actor isn't qualified to check a dangerous weapon like a gun or give the ok to use it. Nor is it there job, that's why they hire armorer's for movies, they are supposed to specifically do nothing but ensure firearm safety.

It's like having your brakes worked on on your car and afterwards they fail on the way home due to improper installation and you kill someone in a wreck and someone saying "it's the drivers fault they weren't a mechanic and didn't disassemble the braking system first to ensure it's working right".

I hate democrats but I'd bet if he didn't mock trump on SNL for years, didn't support Obama, and was instead a hardcore republican I bet he wouldn't be getting as much flack as he is on here. I'm just trying to put aside my personal dislike for the man and only look at what actually happened.

In all honesty it doesn’t look like Baldwin is fully guilty, but he is at least partially, since he pointed and shot at the woman, even with a prop gun. I would assume that this moves to civil court where Baldwin and the production company fork over tens if not hundreds of millions in damages.

These folks are just pissed that Baldwin did Trump impersonations and hurt their feelings.....

That is the only reason they are having the delusional opinions they have about this....

Are you claiming that anyone or any company who pays out tens of millions in damages means they are somehow guilty of something??

Hmmmm......

What is weird is that he ISN'T in Western outfit for the movie. THEY WEREN'T filming---Baldwin supposedly was practicing drawing the weapon. And the production has sent out a letter telling their people to "stick together" like a family would.
I think the killing was premeditated....

Everyone knows Baldwin has anger issues and had threatened to murder film crew previously....

He finally followed thru with it.....

This is what happens when you F with Trump....you get what's coming to you....and that broad who got killed was most likely a lib, so that's a bonus...

I dunno know what happened...I can only report what I am seeing. That the Baldwin and crew are lying and telling their people to lie. That they weren't FILMING as they are implying..or that if they were that they have hidden the film and changed outfits to hide what was really going on. If they weren't filming why was Baldwin pointing a gun at this woman. I also suspect that the stories of the gun just going off by itself are all fabrications.........I mean why wouldn't you make doubly sure that the gun is unloaded if it is going off by itself? And how does an unloaded gun go off by itself? I see dimwitted libs lying----not realizing that everyone is smarter than they which is why the investigators have already gathered a bunch outfits and other evidence. Think the investigators initially in charged where actually investigating...not so sure they will remain in charge. And while I am thinking about it, how was the guy hit in the shoulder and the woman hit in the abdomen if he was looking over her shoulder as he has stated?

I mean, my first thought was that the union people got pissed and loaded the weapon with real ammo..you know how lib union workers are.....but now I see Baldwin and crew lying and acting shady as they cry croc tears for this dead woman. I think there are a lot of unclean hands here after reading into some of the evidence.

If I remember correctly Brandon Lee was also killed on a set with a "Prop" gun.... The question is why are these guns loaded with live rounds if they're supposed to be loaded with blanks? Shouldn't the actors be responsible when they're handling weapons as everyone one else is?
When handled a weapon the first thing I do is open the breech and unload it to make sure it's safe while i'm handling it.
In this case crewmembers were using the pistols for target practice during off times, they are actual older revolvers. So not as difficult for aa live round or two to be in the cylinder.

Hmmmmm it doesn't take much to check the cylinder to tell if there are any rounds in it or not. This one was supposed to be empty.

At least four people fucked up.

1. The idiot that brought live ammunition to the set.

2. The Armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, a) allowed a loaded gun to sit on the prop cart b) apparently unsupervised

3. The Assistant Director, Dave Halls, picked it up and a) did not check it before handing it to Baldwin and b) yelled "cold gun" when he had not verified that

4. Alec Baldwin for not performing an independent check prior to pointing the gun at somebody. He was rehearsing by drawing and pointing at the camera while people were still there instead of waiting until they had finished setting up. When filming the camera would be remote controlled, no person in the line of fire

All four of them had to fuck up for this to happen.

Thats what is weird---I don't think they were filming or they are lying about the film when this happened, they are now saying practicing withdrawing the weapon while standing in the pews....if they were practicing why would they need to yell cold gun?

No, you idiot. It's because he KILLED a woman.

Not once have you progs mentioned her.

Not once.

And completey irresponsible and reckless.

No I'm being fair and objective, not a Leftie hack like you. I’m saying Baldwin wasn't really at fault, except that he stupidly pointed the weapon at the woman without knowing. There might be enough to charge the person who armed the weapon with involuntary manslaughter. But most likely the family will get tons of money in civil court, as in the OJ trial.

It was not a "prop gun." It was a live weapon used for plinking by the crew before the shoot. Nobody checked to see if it was unloaded before it was picked up by the guy who handed it to Baldwin.
