In a new letter to Biden and CDC Director Walensky, progressive members of Congress are calling for the CDC to "leverage every authority available to extend the eviction moratorium" after the House failed to take action Friday to extend the eviction ban set to expire Saturday at midnight.

With hours until eviction ban expires, lawmakers lean on CDC to act

Hmmm, wasn't the CDC moratorium already overturned?
Federal appeals court finds CDC eviction moratorium unlawful
A step closer to universal housing and/or income.

If they are going to do something like this. So then they should also have the federal reserve to stop charging interest and during that period that they should also forgive all debts that was accumulated during that period.
But federal reserve will not because they don't like doing their part during the shutdown. But it shows who are the ones that are in control of these shutdowns.

Well having evictions during a pandemic is not really that smart.. I know you think the The Purge movie was a documentary...

Most of the comments here seem to just have no care or regard for other people... It is highly unchristian of people who then try to pretend they are Christian...

The Pope was right when he wanted his Church to focus around real Christian ideals like poverty. humiliatity & empathy... This is alien to them while they rabbit on about Abortion & Homosexuality ... Jesus never mentioned Abortion or Homosexuality once in the Bible... But he did say that the most import thing was to 'Love thy neighbour as yourself...'

If it's "for the people" then why aren't they preventing mortgage defaults hmm? It's only renter defaults

the left doesn’t care about what the Court say…they don’t care about the rule of law

it’s unchristian not to pay your debts..though shall not steal.

when you are living in someone else’s home or property without compensation you are stealing from them.

there is work, there are plenty of places hiring. There has been thousands in stimulus and unemployment benefits given out…pay your rent
