That's contrary to what I heard the other day on the radio...

"According to data from Nielsen Media Research, 5.6 million viewers—the figure is preliminary and will be confirmed later this week—tuned into Game 6 of the Finals to watch the Lakers clinch a record-equaling 17th NBA title, compared with 18.34 million viewers in Game 6 of the 2019 Finals between the Raptors and the Warriors."

"The six games on Fox averaged a 5.2 rating and 9.8 million viewers, down 32 percent from the previous low. That came in 2012 when an average of 12.7 million people watched the San Francisco Giants sweep the Detroit Tigers. That series drew a 7.6 rating."

The interest is dwindling...this on the heels that the NFL has announced there will only be a 20-25% capacity allowed for this season's Super Bowl. That will be a complete joke and make the whole event a lot less interesting.
