Remember, there have been only 120 people charged with a mere 86 convictions since Bush's first term. And many of those have been from simple ignorence. A convict even presented his "prison" ID.

Policy Brief on Voter Identification | Brennan Center for Justice

Restrictive voter ID policies - especially those that require state-issued photo ID cards - threaten to exclude millions of eligible voters. There is a movement afoot to demand that eligible voters provide documentation of their identity at the polls and to restrict the documents that a voter may offer as proof. Indiana just implemented one such law; Missouri has just passed another. A recent Georgia law demands that voters show one of a limited number of forms of government-issued photo ID. The 2005 Commission on Federal Electoral Reform, known as the Carter-Baker Commission, went even further, recommending that states require a voter to present an enhanced driver’s license known as “Real ID” or a specific state-issued equivalent. If followed, this recommendation would prevent eligible citizens from voting if they appeared even with a valid U.S. passport or U.S. military photo ID.

As many as 10% of eligible voters do not have, and will not get, the documents required by strict voter ID laws.

In 5-Year Effort, Scant Evidence of Voter Fraud - New York Times

WASHINGTON, April 11 — Five years after the Bush administration began a crackdown on voter fraud, the Justice Department has turned up virtually no evidence of any organized effort to skew federal elections, according to court records and interviews.

In Wisconsin, where prosecutors have lost almost twice as many cases as they won, charges were brought against voters who filled out more than one registration form and felons seemingly unaware that they were barred from voting.

One ex-convict was so unfamiliar with the rules that he provided his prison-issued identification card, stamped “Offender,” when he registered just before voting.

REPORT: From Poll Taxes To Voter ID Laws: A Short History of Conservative Voter Suppression

Ohio House had approved the most restrictive voter id law in the nation — a bill that would exclude 890,000 Ohioans from voting. Earlier this week Texas lawmakers passed a similar bill, and voter id legislation — which would make it significantly more difficult for seniors, students and minorities to vote — is now under consideration in more than 22 states across the country

Bush administration’s five-year national “war on voter fraud” resulted in only 86 convictions of illegal voting out of more than 196 million votes cast.

Considering what's going on with the Post Office and legislation Republicans have been passing across the country unrelated to "Jobs Jobs Jobs", I think it's time for USMB Republicans to finally admit their party practices "voter suppression". Just admit it. Then please tell us why it's OK. Man up and tell the truth for once. Then explain why you think it's OK. That's all I'm asking.

With only 86 convictions for voter fraud, you can't use that as an excuse any more. Time to admit the truth. So, will you finally "man up"?

Thanks,

Well yeah. I'm sure the GOP hired those Black Panthers to stand outside the voting booths with clubs.

Two skinny guys in front of a black preceint is not comparable with a nation wide effort to keep legal Americans voters from voting

Just because some dems get fooled that doesnt make IDs needed
If 40k Mexicans voted publicly and illegally for a republican, you'd be demanding they be shot.

Face it, you only want liberals to not be suppressed.
