Damn!! Two people combined in one night's drawings....getting almost 2 billion dollars...unbelievable!!

Why is it that the only people who buy lottery tickets are the poor?

Is there a link between poverty and lack of math skills?

The IRS never has to track down people for refusing to pay the Stupid People Tax.

I read a novel a few years back called The Winner- it was about a 7th grade drop girl out in Georgia who (with some trickery involved unbeknownst by her) won 100+ million in a lottery- the story got me to thinking about it- 100+ million- never mind being a 7th grade drop out- what would an alleged educated person do with a 100+ million dollar wind fall?

Now, these 2 near 1/2 billion dollars- what would you do with that much instant money? I'm 73 so I can't imagine even living long enough to spend a sizeable chunk frivolously- oh, I'd buy some stuff- but 100+ million? That's a lotta stuff- there are 2 charities I'd give a lot to- and set my kids up for life- get a newer truck and a few guitars, which I need a room for the few I have now so I'd have to buy a house with adequate space and maybe set up a private recording studio- and still have a lot left over- man! It could quickly become a head ache and 1/2 billion is down right scary-

It's because they're desperate. Most people know their chance of winning is almost nothing.

I buy lottery tickets because you just never know- I spend 6 bucks every 12 or 13 days- if that's going to break me I may as well shoot myself- it has 0 to do with math skill or desperation and my formal education stopped at the 9th grade-

Stupid People Tax is self-sustaining.

You are more likely to be killed by an asteroid. You should save the 6 bucks.

Mega million was a billion......I grew up poor, but at my age and as hard as I've worked my entire life since I was 16 and then the military for the little money I get....I know how to work money. I personally wouldn't tell a soul, not even family members and I would get started working that money to help my family and friends; anonymously and right hand to God, other than setting aside for my retirement.....I would give the rest away. Human beings need purpose in life and if money dissolves that purpose, life ain't worth a damn. People innately just want to be financially comfortable and not have to worry.....others that go overboard, are simply greedy bastards....air conditioned dog houses, a room exclusive to cats, gold plated bath tubs, shit like that to me is just stupid. I know how to live a humble life.

I don't play the lotterly unless it gets big....2 bucks a pop not to get a number, is a bit for me. I do however occassionally do the scratch offs, but my passion is the horses....TVG....the place to waste and blow money and of course my beloved casino's.....I just love gambling period. As long as by bills are paid, and I got a little extra....gotta take a chance to double the pain

I personally wouldn't tell a soul,
Where would you keep a billion dollars?
First off, you're not getting a billion dollars, half if your lucky and that's before taxes......and of course I'd put in the bank via a well qualified lawyer guiding me. This is after holding onto the ticket for quite sometime, gleefully planning.
