Capitalism stands democracy on its head by allowing a wealthy few to acquire vast private fortunes at public expense; socialism advances social use rather than private profits.

"Capitalism arises from relations of private-ownership that allow a wealthy minority to control all the resources, tools, and other things used by a working majority to create wealth.

"Creating the wealth of nations is a big ordeal and — since it takes the better part of nearly everyone’s days to do that — the relations people form to organize this endless group-project become a basis for social power.

"This structural power crystallizes into formal power through institutions, such as the political and legal systems, that turn back to reinforce and stabilize the pattern of social organization that created them in the first place."

Marx + MMT: Socialism Through a Self-Managed Federal Job Guarantee

Socialists believe society can be run by a majority of its people who produce the goods, services, and knowledge, and that majority is also fully capable of deciding how to democratically distribute the wealth of its production.

The dictatorship of capital, on the other hand, controls people's wages, benefits, promotions, careers, and how the collective workplace is organized in order to advance a few private fortunes.

In other words, the nuts and bolts of exploitation.

Perhaps America is the wrong country for you.

In many of the Board Rooms of the Corporations, they are discussing this very thing today. It used to be that the Company was good for the community and the community was good for the company and it worked out well for both. But a change happened sometime in the late 80s where it all came down to the bottom line of Profit and just cater to the Share Holders. That was a short term solution and it's starting to come to roost. Smart CEOs and Managers know this and are talking about how to repair the damage.

Yes, cuz the famines and mass murders that accompany your beloved commie regimes are much more egalitarian. Thanks for your brave commentaries, I'm sure they are done at great personal sacrifices to you personally.

Do you wear a Mao suit and stand on a box when you type this stuff out?

Yes, and there is a reason the Democrats all favor Red China over the U.S. as well.

"How a Federal Job Guarantee Works
"A federal job guarantee is one of those rare ideas that is exactly what it sounds like.

"Differing proposals have been made, each with its own take on implementing the details, but the core concept is that the government guarantees a job to anyone who wants one.

"As professor of economics Matthew Forstater explains:

"'a job guarantee offers a public service job to anyone ready and willing to work, no means tests or time limits. The federal government pays the basic JG wage-benefits package, but community groups, NGOs, nonprofit enterprises, and local governments administer and manage the program.'"

"The unconditional and open-ended nature of a job guarantee sets it apart from the garden-variety reforms peddled by pidgeonhearted liberals.

"By guaranteeing a public-sector job to all who want to work, the federal wage-benefit package would become the de facto standard for compensation."

The Libertarian Delusion | BillMoyers.com

"The stubborn appeal of the libertarian idea persists, despite mountains of evidence that the free market is neither efficient, nor fair, nor free from periodic catastrophe.

"In an Adam Smith world, the interplay of supply and demand yields a price that signals producers what to make and investors where to put their capital.

"The more that government interferes with this sublime discipline, the more bureaucrats deflect the market from its true path.

"But in the world where we actually live, markets do not produce the 'right' price.

"There are many small examples of this failure, but also three immense ones that should have discredited the libertarian premise by now.

"Global climate change is the most momentous. The price of carbon-based energy is 'correct' — it reflects what consumers will pay and what producers can supply — if you leave out the fact that carbon is destroying a livable planet.

"Markets are not competent to price this problem.

"Only governments can do that.

"In formal economics, this anomaly is described by the bloodless word 'externality' — meaning costs (or benefits) external to the immediate transaction. Libertarian economists treat externalities as minor exceptions."
