:dig: Odds are that after the "Iowa Crocus", at least one candidate may bow out, or will decide to bow out after the New Hampshire Primary. But for now, lets assume Bush gets between "One and Two Per-Cent" after Ted Cruz wins. Whats Jebby going to do? He knows things wont get any better. Does anyone think he will call it quits depending on what happens in Iowa, or just stick it out till South Carolina?, but you got to admit, many of us will be laughing if Bush only gets one per-cent and Sarah Palin gets more votes than Jebby.:itsok:

I wrote a piece about the dynamics a while back. I think the big unknown right now is whether Trump's unprecedented popularity in the polls and on the campaign trail are going to translate into actual votes. I think a lot of people, for whatever reason, just aren't believers yet and it will take Trump showing well in Iowa when actual votes are cast. I do believe this is going to happen and when it does, some campaigns will have to face the music. There will have to be a "come to Jesus moment" for the Establishment GOP if they expect to make any sort of viable run for the nomination. The big money donors cannot split their resources between several candidates and have any chance of success.

After Iowa and NH, expect to see several Establishment candidates pack it in and call it a day. The EGOP will coalesce behind the strongest showing candidate and hope they can catch Trump. Several already have some problems. Rubio, for example, has very little organization on the ground outside of Iowa and NH. Christie is doing well in the Northeast but that's about it. Bush has deep pockets but no support. Kasich is putting all his eggs in the NH basket and praying for a miracle at this point. The rest are on life support.

By Super Tuesday, I think it's going to be a 4 man race.

Well the Bush family was rooting for Hillary and I sincerely believe they strategized Jeb being in the race would suck up all the donors away from any other R primary candidate giving him a clear playing field.

Whoopsies! And then along came a man called Trump.

:)

He should bail after Iowa. Will he? Anybody's guess.

i think its going to be Cruz/Trump/Rubio after Iowa, Christie will be betting on New Hampshire.

I think Bush stays in until Super Tuesday no matter what happens in Iowa

Bush won't bow out until he runs out of money...that's a good thing for Trump...the longer Bush sucks up 3%...the longer that 3% doesn't migrate to another establishment candidate.

I was surprised the other day at the poll out of California which had Fiorina with only 3%. I really thought she would do much better after her performance in the debates. Especially in her own home state.

Well, after Ted wins it all, he can always offer Jebby a position in the White House? maybe the White House Dog Groomer?

i wonder if jebby will blame his brother if he winds up in last place in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
